I'll discontinue Excitel and move to Hathway.

  1. Cheaper
  2. Very rare disconnection issues and no rain issues.
  3. Max. to max. 4 hours of time to fix the issue if it's related to disconnection.
  4. Excitel is no better than Hathway. So, Why not enjoy same Cow Dung at cheaper price?
  5. Biggest Advantage: NO FUCKING LCO INVOLVED.
Waiting for the days to end.

I've been using internet for more than 15 years now. I never had such long disconnection in my entire life.

Add 12 hours minimum more to it (making it 24 hours) since it's late night and they will be able to fix it or at-least start fixing it by the 11 am only.

I regret the decision of going with Excitel.

Oh boy you should really switch then, with that many downtime it looks like your lco is sitting good a** off.
 
It's excitel's job to have some sort of check on the LCO to fix the issues.

All in all, It's me leaving them, might be more people leave them in future.
it's not my job to worry about them or their future. if a service stops being good... i dump them and move on. there is just no point in trying to send them a message that they are messing up. they either know it already or don't care about it.
 
Fair Enough. I think I need to be more used to this dump practice 😛
 
@ajgamer at least hathway is part of Jio now so in near future you could get proper jio fiber connection 😀
 
More than 24 Hours gone and services are still not working and no response from Excitel or LCO yet.

Facing Huge Packet Loss Issues since morning (27th Feb).

I am not able to surf properly, videos are buffering/skipping in between/lagging, websites stops loading (though chrome continues to show loading).

@Aakash Malhotra If you could ping google.com -t while streaming (Watching) twitch.tv? Check if you have the packet losses as well.

I am getting packet losses with and without watching twitch.tv but it's more frequent (20% loss) while watching twitch.tv

Open one. I had some speed issues,they called (to welcome me to the network), I stated the issue, the customer care guy did some speedtests using AnyDesk, opened a ticket himself and resolved my issue within 24 hrs.
 
@ajgamer Try approaching some other LCO from your area. I had similar expectations from Airtel ftth, with their manager selling fake promises of expansion in my area, but after waiting for 5-6 months, it didn't happen, so instead I got one from an lco instead
 
I've made the ticket for this issue 28th Feb 2019 2:30 AM.

But the problem is still there and not fixed yet.

I am seeing 1-5% Packet Loss when just surfing website. (No Twitch / YouTube)

It used to be 0% Packet Loss.

Whenever I turn on the Twitch.tv. The Packet Losses rises to somewhere around 20%.

Excitel has been seriously unstable this whole month.

Meanwhile, I have checked the same stuff on Hathway Broadband and Airtel Broadband. They show no Packet Loss in any case. (It's 0% Packet Loss with or without Twitch.tv on Hathway and Airtel Broadband).


P.S.: Packet Losses are being tested upon the google.com ping google.com -t

@alphago I've already renewed my Hathway Broadband since 7 days are left with the Excitel. It's very cheap price plan from Hathway (differ from their retail pricing) with per month pricing.

Sooner or later, Airtel FTTHwill come to compete with Jio Fiber. So, you should not loose hope. It will take time for sure. Jio did the digging in our area in August 2018 but it's almost March 2019 now and there is no sign of JioFiber. So patience is the key.

FTTH is the future (becoming current standard). Within 2 years from now there will be no copper wire / coaxial / ethernet and no MTNL.

I still feel that even though Airtel customer support is the best (among the ISPs which I have tried) but still it's overpriced going by the amount of data they offer per month. They will have to reduce their prices if they want to compete (i guess 🙂)
 
@achaudhary997 I'm sure they would release the new and interesting pricing once FTTH is official. Since, pricing of data is not an issue anymore. That's the reason, they are going to scale up their Fiber Infra with the JV with Vodafone.

Anyways, do you see any packet loss to google.com while watching twitch.tv and also without twitch.tv?

Mine without twitch.tv: 1-5% packet loss regularly.
with twitch.tv: 20-30% packet loss.
 
No packet loss at my side. I don't use twitch much but as of now, 1080p streams are playing fine.
Tried pinging google.com for about 5 mins, noticed no loss (with twitch)
 
Okay. I've been waiting for any permanent fix with the Excitel because I wanted to continue with them because of their good uploads and ping.

But then all these issues in past 30 days have been nightmare for me. Pretty much scammed.
 
Packet Loss Continues (Getting 5-10% on the standby) but I'm again seeing the slow speeds.
