Hey
I just got a 5k electricity bill for just my usage, its insane. Some please help me to bring down the cost.

1. I have a PC running a) SEASONIC S12II 520W,
b) AMD Graphic Card,
c)Swan 20Watt speakers,
d)Asus WiFi Router:

e) 4 external HDD from WD ( My Passport)

If i leave the pc on 24 hrs also which i am currently not doing, how many units should it consume ? 24 units a day max ? i.e 720 units in a month ?

2. Geyser is Racold: 35Ltr, 5 Star Ratting. Usage is only 20 Min to 40 min in whole day but have to leave it on couple of times as water gets cold now days. So probably maybe 4hrs. ( i think its less than 2hrs in reality but still for calculation

3. Cordless Panasonic Phone

4. Fridge LG 310Ltr, 3 star ratting.

That's pretty much it, one tube light is there for 25W which is used for few hrs ( 4 to 5hrs.

If you keep the pc running for downloads... Get a pi.

Doesn't Delhi have a highly subsidized power tarrif for up to 400 units? Once you cross that threshold, the rate per unit jumps up significantly.

Could be an issue with the geyser if there is a significant increase in the overall number of units than the previous months. I too have a similar geyser and a lot more things running 24/7 and my average bill in Bangalore is around 2.5k. However it does jump to 5-6k during the winter months because I have the room heater/radiator running 24/7. Unless you're mining cryptocurrency, I'd say it is unusual.

i left this LG fridge on highest settings apparently 1 means highest and 3 means lowest in LG freezer, so it has been probably running like anything !

It's mostly your geyser. I would highly recommend that you install a solar water heater. With state + Central subsidy it comes to 50k, lifetime free hot water. Our bill went down from 2.5k to 500₹ after installing solar water heater.
