New Excitel Connection thoughts (East Delhi)

So I have been using airtel v fiber for the last year or so and have had no issues apart from airtel not giving me more than 40 Mbps DL and 10 Mbps UL. So I decided to give excitel a chance(50 Mbps plan) while still keeping the airtel connection active.

I have had the excitel connection for around a day and the biggest issue I have found is that I do not get full speed on Direct Download sites like o p e n l o a d , mega etc.

Speedtest.net, Netflix(fast.com) show full speed on download and upload both. But nperf and google fiber speed test show only 20 Mbps DL . Whereas my airtel connection shows full speed at all these websites.

Is this universal with Excitel or is it only me?

Excitel would basically work best on peered services. That's their business model.

On Google fiber I get maximum possible speed from the past couple of days. Even speed test to servers like Vodafone UK has improved.

thats unfortunate, what about others like act , jio gigafiber(soon hopefully) ?

No one is going to give unlimited 100mbps for 1200 something. Excitel fiber drops the price to 800 something.

Never had speed issue whether on nperf or google fibre, when i was on excitel.

even now I get 90% of speed on US servers of nperf and google fibre on Triple play in East Delhi.

on google fiber speedtest i am getting 50 down and 12 up. server is atlanta and ping is 240ms

regarding open load : its universal . i also face buffering

there are several other video hosters that buffer like mp4upload, streamango , mystream , rapidvideo etc

where in east delhi are you? and is triple pay good?

and maybe once I upgrade to the 100 Mbps plan I might get better speeds on nperf and google fiber.

I am at krishna nagar,

I find Triple play and excitel, similar in performance.

Actually I have downgraded from 50Mbps to 30Mbps.... Do not find performance deterioration other than speedtest.
