Hello people!Just thought I'd warn you guys.......I ran a port scan today on the MTNL range of ips 59.182.*.*, to see how many people were online. I checked a few ips, and the default passowords were still the same......so I could get into the admin page of the router with the default password!!I could have easily checked out their username/password and logged on to the net with their accounts!Just thought I'd warn you guys to change yours 🙂Adwait

cool thanks !!

I can't really reccomend any, since its been quite a while since I used Windows. But you could try www.download.com, theres bound to be software there.

all ips are coming dead here (using angry ip scanner..scanning 59.182.22.0 to 59.182.25.0)dunno why not working for me i wanna see 😛edit: oops im using multiple connections so angry ip must be using sify..will check later

i dosn't mattereven u can get it from dial upset the port to 21,22,23,80it's fun to see that more than 1000 people in mumbai were online yrsday nightis there any way by which i can go inside there pc!!!

No there isnt...........not unless they have a server configured, in which case you would be able to see the shared files only.

Who knows maybe all those Mbs of our quota mysteriously getting used up wasnt really mtnl at fault 🙁

LOL.........Hmm maybe, but most probably they were their fault.I have not really tried logging in with a different username/password, it is possible that MTNL cross checks your username with the phone number on which you are logging on.............never tried.....

I guess they have CLI 'Caller Line Identification'Caue in dialup days i trie to change the phone no in user name but i was not able to connect.I guess they will be using same thing for triband also.I GUESS!

i have a software called netscan... it scans all the ips... hey n thanks adwait... was a real save or else so many of us wud have been in trouble!!!

You can login using any username and password. Its not tied down to a particular line.I have 2 Dsl nu's and i can use either username and pass.and even login using same username and pass simultaneously! The same happens for Steamyx in Malaysia and Bellsouth in USA too.So my guess is that worldwide ADSL username and password isnt tied to the phoneline.

I have never heard of anyone getting caught for such a thing as far as i know. With so many ppl knowing such stuff i bet somebady must have tried it.
