Jio ONT can be configured in Bridge mode. For this to happen, you need to request JIO technical person to disable DHCP from their end so that you can set JIO ONT in Bridge mode.( to avoid double NAT environment) My JIO ONT is in Bridge mode and working fine with my Asus router but I am not able to make dial up connection. (PPoE connection). It works in Automatic ip. Because of this, I cannot have DDNS on Asus Router. Hence i can't avail feature like VPN, AiCloud and Download Master.

Don't we have an option in the modem? I was wondering why do we have to contact the technician for that?

Bro it allows to use lan port as WAN port. I use act and jio both as failover not load balance.

Oh! Great bro!

Were the other problems the people here talking about resolved yet? They were talking about several issues like VPN.

Did anyone recently try bridge mode on Jio? I was helping a friend remotely with Jio and noticed that there is an option for bridge mode and options to disable DHCP server.

The device is a JCO4032 with a firmware dated April 2, 2020.

I couldn't test it myself, cause Jio router was the only device available.

@varkey @GRanger
Many details are missing because the default UI is modified.
Either we can use serial port built inside o router to extract data using data dump.
BTW,Jio is using TR-069 and you know how surprises are coming through this.
BTW, Is IP passthrough same as transparent bridge mode....often seen as WDS Bridge on Ubiquiti devices?????

What does "it will be present in the vlan tag for bridge traffic on the wan side" exactly mean?

@Nitin Not an expert but it's probably the VLAN ID assigned by the people who manage your connection locally or by Jio itself. You can try guessing it but its probably in between a giant range.
