Excitel Fiber Announced!

Well that just gives you a definition of what they are offering xD.

Nope N devices won't support. I guess that's what they could get in the price xD

Good Man, You're lucky haha.

so they are offering up to 1gbps plans but hardware only support up to 300mbps. cool stuff.

I don't know how to answer that 🙂. I have no clue regarding that. All I can say is that the LCO is helpful.

I meant to ask that as someone said Excitel Fiber is coming to those LCO which has more than 500 Connections.

500 connections is a lot. guess my area wont be getting excitel fiber anytime soon ¯\(ツ)

that's the thing. when excitel provide hardware incapable of speeds being advertised... your lco would be taking the heat from the customer. people would not care if the hardware is insufficient. they would blame the service. especially when the devices they are using (budget smartphones) are incapable of speeds above 50-100mbps.

I don't think so (I may be wrong) that he will have more than 500 connections. Last time I checked in (November 2018) he said that they have about 200-250 connections.

^ Excitel would take more heat since they would complain in the name of Excitel on any place/website.

Okay. Nice. Probably, he is damn good that he has managed to have 200 Connections.

The wifi device that they provide are pretty bad connection wise, I faced very bad speeds with high packet loss and told them to setup the connection through my router. I'd advice everyone to not opt for a wifi device and only for the basic ONU device.

500 connections are too much, It all depends on the LCO, my LCO guy is pretty good from the start, I've faced like 4-5 downtimes in the past 2 years since I started using excitel and he resolved the issue that very same day.
I am the only excitel fiber user in my area currently(I think so) as they made the upgradation, the whole wiring process the same day I requested for FTTH.

@ajgamer Not as far as I can recall, I never faced any downtime because of rain. Packet Loss sometimes here and there which it solved itself after half an hour or so!
I was a den broadband user before this, there were a lot more connection issue with them than excitel.
It all depends on the LCO, my friend uses excitel as well, lives like half a km away from me with a different LCO, his experience with excitel so far has been pretty pathetic, loads of downtime, sometimes even for a week. Speed Issues as well. His LCO is demanding 2500Rs for FTTH Upgradation.

IDK my LCO told me about 500 connections. Either he was wrong or the guy who told him was. 500 connections in an area is like giving connection to everyone in your jurisdiction.

@neelakatappa Can't say anything bruh. It can be anything. Overall, Excitel needs Fiber to keep all the stupid issues they have which is making their services shit.

Like, Power Backup, Packet Loss, Slow Speeds, Rain Issue. It might improve when it's Fiber.
