I have a problem with NAT ... so I raised the ticket and customer care people are just...........................

but after so many calls they said to have a static IP for 150 rupees per year... which is good but they are unable to write it down on email or anything regarding it.

does anybody have an idea are they gonna cheat with an inflated bill?

pareshan toh hum bhi hai NAT se.

but excitel doesnt give static ip. afaik.

i called them up many times asking for the same but they rejected my request every time.

so i wont trust them .

btw excitel is coming up with dual ipv4 - ipv6 stack solution soon. not sure when but it will be launched.

they do, atleast in deljhi ...
but shady part is they cant say that on email

and where did they said about the ipv6?

But can they give it to you? Considering they admitted to having the option?

i dontknow, different ticket different answers from excitel. mostly they said no. but few times they actually said yes but strange that they cant write it down on email. or maybe it is my "ERP" or local internet guy providing me static. even stranger thing is THE LOCAL GUY DONT HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF STATIC IP.
meanwhile does anybody know the id and password of
RouterOS v6.42.3

?

microtik? better update it bro. apparently many of their models had a massive bug that was being abused by hackers.

The local cable guy seriously has no knowledge of static ip? How is he even managing the network?

probably because he has zero control over that aspect? LCOs are responsible for getting customers, installation and maintaining the network. rest would depend upon what powers he has over the software provided by excitel to manage clients.

the default is admin and no passcode, but that must have been changed as no password is very risky. i have a Mikrotik sxt and have updated it to 6.43.4(latest)

i agree with sushubh, they dont have control entirely, they are looking after infrastructure.

Mikrotik router is not under my control... its under local internet guy.

although i read the solution for double nat in this website somewhere but kinda forgot to bookmark it. BTW has anybody tried to bridge the network for rpi or general port forwarding for cams?

regarding that... a friend of mine recently got cpplus cctv cameras installed at his place and he is able to access them on his phone through excitel. i actually pay for airtel static ip just for cctv. haven't tried using excitel on it and seeing if ezviz can access the cameras without static ip ? i have hikvision and even the web based ui no longer works because of removal of plugin support.

You can try zerotier, it is a nice solution for this double Nat problem. It creates a virtual lan network. Anyone can join it with a network id. Has PC, android, iOS clients, Nas, Linux , etc.. clients to configure. It can even bypass mobile internet Nat. It's free and open source too and an amazing software. I use it as even I face this double Nat and it has never failed. + Easy to configure also
