Excitel Broadband providing static IP for 1000 rupees per year?

Yeah, of course. But making the lco understand what static ip is, was a bit cumbersome! He finally gave the static after a lot off efforts as this was the first demand his customers have made 😛
 
I think if u ask your lco guy instead of excitel, he might just be able to give you
 
That accessing home server can be done with noip, really don't see much of an advantage for static IP here.
 
That can be possible if u receive a dynamic ip( from bsnl/airtel) , which is open to internet. Excitel and other lco use cgnat, so u get an ip which is not pingable (no incoming connection). thats why u need a static for accessing ur home devices from the internet
