Huawei vs UTStar vs d-link 502T

Hi 🙂 !iam Vijay, new to this blog. I find this blog usefull.i have a dataone conncetion with UTStar ADSL modem.Sometimes it gives problem to connect(waits showing the connecting screen).That times, i used to reinstall NIC , release and renew IP, winsock reset..it works.This problem also never happens with freshly installed OS(windows xp).i have planeed to buy a another DATAONE for my office.Now, which one to choose b/n Huawei vs UTStar vs D-Link 502T ?which is superior in performance, connectivity and other factors?iam waiting for ur reply ASAP coz, have told BSNL people to wait till i decide....and BSNL sounds aint that polite!help me, guys! 🙄
 
i have huwawei and no probs till date...D-Link has a prob of firm ware..c to it that u get the latest one
 
D-Link-502T is giving me very satisfactory performance since I bought it. Have surrendered the UT star modem to BSNL.
 
D-Link people say, 502-t is a router cum modem and UTStar is a modem alone.What is the difference b/n both?As u said , u surrendered UTStar, and using D-link...Please tell me , which is giving good internet speed?Are u aware of 504T? What are the added features?

Thank u for the info. I was aware of it and also tried updating firmware....and finally suceeded updating!
Is that the only problem with 502T? What about the connecting speeds? Which modem has good internet speeds?
 
In Kolkata the D-Link distributor is very responsive. I am using/overseeing use of more than one DSL-502T. Never experienced any firmware incompatibility in Kolkata in any case. Have heard about 504T but they are still not available in Kolkata. Does anybody have any idea about 3Com BB routers?

I have no idea about 3comm products.
Is the modem given by dataone is "router cum modem" ? or just a modem alone?
