Hathway Set-top box

Today there is a AD in Kalaingar TV...Hathway Set top box is free.. limited offer.. any one saw that?

yeah.. even i got wondered. they played this AD before the 7'o clock news.. So.. Chennai competition is getting more with SCV/Hathway & SUN DTH.

I saw the add on Isaiaruvi channel.Trere is going to be a heavy competition.Good for Customers.

I was trying to reach that number for the past 2 days as the mobile number was busy most of the time or switched and the landline number was busy even in midnight:wall:

john .. will u able to show the list of hath way channel list ?i want hathway cas stb .. coz my cable wala moved to hathway ..i dont think my sundth will add sports channels in this decade ..so , friends pls tell me the GOOD and BAD of the hathway cas ...

In SCV normal cable without STB, SCV gives 21 Tamil channels:thumbsup:. For hathway sun tv channels are not free. In chennai especailly sun tv channels (exclusive for SCV customers), Raj TV, vijay tv are free of cost.

for tamil channels ... no diff in both scv and hathway in chennai ...

The hathway STB is not free....They are asking the following a) Activation Charges Rs.250/- b)Package Charges Rs.200/- (if we choose the Rs.50/- package i.e,Rs .50x4 months) c)Tax 12.5% Rs.25/- d)Installation Charges Rs.20/- e)Documentation Charges Rs.30/- TOTAL Rs.525/-In case of Rental Residence Rs.500/- as a Refundable Deposit (or) Undertaking letter from house owner. And one thing i was forget to say,The packages are worst...Rs.50/- packages containing only one Sports Channel(one pack contains ESPN and other one contains Ten sports) If we like to add other channels by paying additionaly Rs.5/-otherwise we go for Rs.100/- pack it contains all the Sports Channels Infotainment and movies Channels.I chose Hathway Spice(Rs.100/-) packIt contains Ten Sports ESPN Star Sports Star Cricket Neo Sports Star Plus Discovery Set Max Zee cinema HBO Star Gold National Geograpic Maa tv Sahara one AXN Star Movies Channel V Sahara Filmy Sony TV Zee TVI paid Rs.1250/- (Rs.500/- refundable)And another one thing is If we buy these cost we are not owner of that STB i.e, we should give back the STB to the cable operator if we go from one area to another.The last fact is ALL SCV OPERATORS ARE MOVING TO HATHWAY BECAUSE OF POLITICAL PRESSURE....This shows NO ONE IS FREE OF COST :redface:

But..my suggestion is dont go for hathway.. as the Picture quality really sucks... Many channels are blur on Hathway.. You can see the pixalated picture on screen.Moreover... the Set-top box hangs many time.. and shows the still image in the TV screen with Audio. You need to restart the STB for make it to work..I am using hathway for past 10 Months.. i am from Bangalore. Hathway is added SFM - Bangalore and SFM - Tamil Nadu.. previosly it was coming in same channels and we had a option change the language.. now it is been separated.
