As you all know, Bsnl claims of providing 20 Mbps speed on 199 & 299 plan but in reality how much speed you guys are getting? Please post your broadband speed results here.
In order to get 20mbps, one needs to stay inside the BSNL exchange. Even if your house and BSNL exchange are in the same street, you may not get 20mbps.
@Karan11282 It is available for new users only. For old users it is available if you only have landline connection. So,what I would do is disconnect broadband and then apply for this plans.
It will not be applicable if you unsubscribe and resubscribe, you need to be a new broadband user who has never activated broadband on the landline. The best way would be to apply for a new connection.

DSL speed is inversely proportional to the distance of your house from the exchange. => As the distance increases speed decreases.
Actually, it's very hard to get ~10Mbps over BSNL's copper cables if your home is more than a KM away from the exchange. For obtaining the described speeds, check the plan you're having is feasible through fiber. Ask your LCO and exchange to provide the same plan over Fiber.
Some other DSL plans are available over it
