Change prepaid number ownership and upgrade.

yeah my case was completely different. girl at the desk first asked for aadhaar. i said don't have it. she said, that's alright, any other id. i said voter id card. she said you would need to fill up a form. i said ok (used to it by now). filled up the form, gave my id copy. girl did something on her system. gave me the sim. told me that it should activate in 4 hours or so but sms might not work for 24 hours. i said ok.

sim was active in 2-3 hours and sms was functional at the same time!

Technically they should be asking for id coz now a days mobile number is just not there to only make calls

mobile number today is basically your power of attorney! otps have replaced signatures. it's kind of insane how much power the phone has over your life.

so I got my sim changed today (not ownership). Airtel store guy sent the sim swap message himself.

He was not ready to provide blank sim though no id proof was required.
