Since the cost of Google peering by the ISPs is free, shouldn't the cost of internet tariff be substantially low? In fact it should be free for google traffic and charge for other traffic. Amazon and facebook also have their own pop present here. Maybe TRAI should regulate the pricing. Maybe JIO can. Any thoughts on this?

  1. India has net neutrality.
  2. Smaller players are already offering extremely cheap plans because of peering with Google/Apple/Microsoft/Netflix/Hotstar/etc.

In the end... Bigger players have larger overheads. They have investors to please. So in the end, it's competition which would drive the prices down. Not actual cost of bandwidth. I mean BSNL is offering 45GB of data for Rs. 118. It's practically impossible that they are making any money on this plan.

I have stopped getting Google peering speeds from my ISP on youtube and google drive. They checked every thing using any desk a technician made a visit still they cant figure out whats the problem is? Any help or advice I should try.
