Fast.com is connecting to seattle us, making 4k videos play in 480p on my tv. Aftet rebooting modem couple of times, sometimes fast connects to mumbai server which plays 4k videos flawlessly.
Any way to fix this issue? The support team on chat are useless and clueless about this issue. I don't know how to explain about routing issues to excitel support.
Yeah it seems like there's a problem with Excitel's DNS. Their DNS servers have been showing their location as US for a few days. It's causing a lot of problems with location proxies and CDNs.
I opened a support ticket yesterday with them. Let's see how it goes.
As for a workaround, try using the "Use Secure DNS" option in Chrome, Edge or Brave or "DNS over HTTPS" in Firefox, with Google's servers from the options. Cloudflare doesn't seem to respect location too no clue why.
Any workaround on a router level? My main issue is with the netflix app on LGtv. Should i use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4 as Primary and Secondary DNS on the router?
