A mobile app is changing the way gated communities are secured | The News Minute

i have not noticed this yet but i can imagine that i would end up hitting one of the societies using something like this sooner than later.
kind of insane.

there is a doctor in my sector who is totally dependent on practo app for everything. so the first thing they do when you go there is feed your name and mobile number in the app and only then you can go and see the doctor.

shit is getting insane in this country.
 
they have made an app that is used by guards at entry point of societies. all your data is connected into the app along with photo from what i remember reading. residents i assume can also use the app to check who has come to visit them. this is basically like practo where you have no control over what is being done with your data but the service providers are more than happy to use it because it saves them money on alternative solutions.
 
but all the gated communities alreeady have a phone and cctv connected to watchman cabin, who can just call up the flat to confirm thje delivery? I dont see how this my gate comes in

mygate is targeting these societies and replacing the old system with their app based one. going through twitter... security guards would take your photo without asking for permission first and upload it to their system. of course you gotta provide your name/mob/address.
