And please,propose @ the next Sify-meeting this:Remove the BROADBAND from the company name It is the same thing as calling my plastic watch a Rolex : a big fat lie!
 
well trai's guidelines are out. in few months they should be more generous. thats what i hope. they are just milking while they can.
 
They should call Sify: Sify wifior Sify cableSify ISDNor whatever kind of connection you get sify fromNot Sify broadbandBroadband is a world wide name for fast cable/ISDN etc etcanything faster then 128, more like 256 and up AT LEASTThe word "fast' doesnt fit with SIFYwe talk about normal dial up speeds with Sify,Its too bad...Theres a cap and it logs out once in a while, its not even close to a nice broadband connectionand they can point to the 256K connection and say: look, we also have thatBut with these packages u need to be very very rich , renewal every 2/3 weeks of 3 to 4000rs( i would have to renew every 3 days No way!)
 
errm. fred, have you seen their websites and discussion forums and blogs? do you think they understand how these forums work? they dont teach common sense at MBA Schools. 🙂
 
I would be happier, if instead of some customer service head, we get a technical representative, who atleast has some idea of networking and the internet ... hmm ... sify is getting trashed here ... if we bring this site in front of their noses, they'll have no other option but to reply ...
 


I hope Mr Ajay Nambiar takes an interest after registering here !!. Obviously everyone whio has registered with Sify" broadband" is sick of it and I have refused to recommend it to anyone. Lot of people were curious when I got the connection but I have not recommended it. This is after being a dial up client for more than 7 years (from the satyam.net.in) days !!! I am stuck with a 6 months package and want to shift to something saner. Has anyone heard of BSNL's DIAS service ? How is it ?Mr Nambiar , can you do me a favour - can you just phone customercare and also try logging on in chat mode. You will be surprised about the " true power of the internet" !!!! when you try !!! 😀 😛 :angry: Dr Prasanna Simha M
 
hey sushubh, maybe mr. nambiar will have this site hacked too....... 😉 jus kiddin!DIAS is good here at noida, and I recently heard that BSNL was gving a landline with DIAS for Re. 1 and no monthly rental. BSNL has slashed prices of DIAS but it has not been updated on the official website. DIAS is actually DSL but u can have it without a landline in BSNL, in touchtel u require a landline.Does anybody has details about the new tariff? I shall be soon switching over to DSL, sify makes me sicker and sicker everyday. Mind you, sify is not "cable internet" or "internet thru cable" as claimed by the sify website. "Cable Internet" actually runs on the TV cable wires and needs a cable modem and gives very good speeds. Sify is actaully internet over LAN, with an extended network covering India. we are all part of the sify LAN. Maybe they should mention on the site that sify is "internet thru LAN". the word "cable" is misleading coz they are usng it for the wire that runs to our computer.
 
Yes it is cable LAN and not really a cable modem !Has Mr Nambiar joined to get the pulse for ankush's impending lawsuit !!He hasn't said hello yet to the forum and seems to want to be a silent spectator. Is that so Mr Nambiar ? I saw the recent add of Sifybroadband on TV and my God my blood started to boil. Just goes to shpw how much they have irritated me. In fact I feel like telling the add wzatch agency to get their add removed as they basically are not offerring broadband as claimed and so they are giving a false and misleading advertis€m€nt. Ankush can also add this to his complaint !!!! :angry: Prasanna
 
i doubt he would be returning to read more stuff about what they offer. anyways he wont find anything new here that he does not get in his own mailbox.

While I have moved out of CustomerCare, I have briefed my replacement Ms Suchint Murali (can be reached at suchint_m@sifycorp.com) and Kashiana (who has been in touch with you regularily) to be in touch with you on your queries/concerns
 
something about what? i doubt they even know they have a problem with their services, CTOs, packages, blah blah... 😉
 
guys , the packages u hav taken is not broadband(these packages are mentioned as "high-speed" in the website)the package they say as broadband is the 256k one, which i hope is broadband(never tried it)
