Why does Bangalore have shitty plans compared to major cities?

Why are plan rates not uniform across the country? Economic reasons or something else?

It's also shameful that Bangalore,the so called IT capital of India, has some of the worst plans compared to other major cities.I'm on the 799 plan.WTF am i supposed to do with a miserly 50 GB? Can't wait for Jio Fiber to come along in August to my area,then it's bye bye and so long Airtel.

Compare some of these basic plans (not mentioning Mumbai,it has even worst plans LOL)

Bangalore
Rs. 799 40 Mbps - 50 GB data
Rs. 999 40 Mbps - 100 GB

Chennai
Rs. 899 40 Mbps - 200 GB
Rs. 999 100 Mbps - 300 GB

Hyderabad
Rs. 699 40 Mbps - Unlimited GB

Delhi
Rs. 799 40 Mbps - 100 GB
Rs. 999 100 Mbps - 250 GB

Though it's sad Airtel has bad plans in Banglore but overall your city has been the most advantageous in Indian History.
When most of us were running 2 Mbps and had 8 Mbps (as a privilege of being rich), your city had 100 mbps by then only.

Overall, I don't see Banglore at down-side at all.

It's Delhi which is having the worst Internet Infrastructure being the capital + NCR nearby. Delhi struggles the most.

If you compare the FTTH connections between Delhi and other metro cities? Delhi will be the least because only very handful places has FTTH here. (All those societies doesn't have FTTH, they have cable/ethernet/telephone only which is miscounted as FTTH sometimes).

Just spoke to CC a few minutes ago and told them i wan't to apply for disconnection of my Airtel broadband.They asjed me why and i replied it's because both ACT and Jio are giving me more data at similar price.

I got a quick counter offer: Rs. 650 (inc. tax) for 40 Mbps @100 GB + 750 GB bonus data (valid for 6 months) 🙂

My original plan: Rs. 942 (inc. tax) for 40 Mbps @50 GB

Jio effect!! 😉
