BSNL is inserting ads in websites, sending their users to malware sites through malware code injection

I meant irctc run their own ads. Even though they are a government service provider. Even though people accessing their website are generally speaking customers who pay for their services.

anyone know how to add these ips to NET LINK ONT BSNL Modem ?

I have been facing these redirects for a couple of years or so and I had thought my computers had got virus. I bought several antivirus software in these years but could never fix the browser redirection issue. Fck them. So, they are intentionally injecting browser redirects on my computer? WTH

Got one more domain today ilkmawgod.site

Has anyone got a permanent solution for it?

@zaman I've been running a dns adblocker (pihole) + browser adblocking plugin. I've not yet seen these issue at my side. Though I can think of only one http site (oil-price.net) i frequently checked.

I could test some websites on my Linux desktop if it's helpful.

@Nishant I've never faced issue with apt update commands on linux, what command exactly are you facing issue with?

I thought BSNL is only injecting this garbage into HTML pages and not any binary data downloads...

Oh OK, this is after crossing FUP limit? I have never crossed 200 GB per month in past 1.5 years since I got my connection and I have the 100 mbps 750gb plan 😀

Yeah. Bsnl is my backup link basically running on load balancing mode in 80:20 ratio. Iirc it is 699 plan with 5GB daily FUP.

BSNL has started using random domains to serve ads now.
Earlier blocks of ip address are no longer working. can we compile a lis of such domains and add to a blocklist?

start posting the domains! should be easy to create a blocklist on github i imagine.

@Nishant Hi! - How are you doing the load balancing between service providers? What equipment is involved? Thanks 🙂
