come on, I cudn'7 even vote in this poll cuz of fewer choices.

What Sify does by opening our default web-browser and pointing it to Sify.som when we log in through the client isn't actually a Home-Page Hijack. A Home-Page hijack happens when on starting your browser everytime the hijacking website opens by itself. But this doesn't happen with us does it, just initially when we log in it happens 😉 . Blame the confounded Sify Client for it. It must have some coding in it to start up our browser and go to Sify.com.

it loads sify.com into the default browser. and it makes it the default homepage on installation. both things s*ck, and they have no right to force it on users. especially when there are added popups.

Hmm, i don't remember my home page being changed during installation. But even if it does happen during that one time it's pretty easy to change it back to whatever you want and it doesn't stick. Which is probably what I did, so much so that I don't even remember such a thing existed lol.But yes, the Sify webpage launch on starting the client is indeed annoying and there ought to be an option to disable it.

trust me. any popular application that changes your homepage without asking you would be crucified by media. if you have not noticed, even firefox installer asks you if you wanted them to set your homepage to the new google's firefox page.

Yeah, it's not good when an application changes your home page without asking. And unfortunately there are a whole lot of such annoying applications about.
