Excitel Broadband taking hours to reconnect

So whenever I restart my router it takes more than an hour to re issue the IP (the wan IP through the pppoe connection) from their back end to my router. Earlier it used to be instantaneous but now I have to sometimes register a ticket with them to be able to connect to the Internet.

This also happens after a power outage but I assumed thats because the local node guys don't have a backup UPS or something. Is it my router getting out of date or have you guys experienced this? I've never faced such an issue with airtel.

Have you entered the service name as "excitel" ? Sometimes the router goes for other PPPoE servers instead of excitel one.

mine is still working great, u should try directly connecting wan cable to ur pc and setting it up as a dial up connection, with this u will know whether ur router is not working properly or its excitel's backend problem.
