Hello,Can someone help me to resolve the below problem?I've recently taken a DataOne connection. I've an ADSL modem of UTSTARCOM make having model number WA3002G4 with four Ethernet ports ans one WiFi.I could use the DHCP to connect to my laptop. however when I try to use the second Ethernet port on the modem to connect my other laptop I get the message "Limited or no connectivity". I could not ping the modem IP 192.168.1.1 too. Please could someone throw some light on this?I use Windows XP SP2.Thanks,Reddy

Assign Automatic Ip addresses in both laptops in TCP/IP properties.

Thanks for the response. It is already configured to take automatic IP and DNS settings but still it is not working!!Thanks,Reddy

Connect suspect laptop to LAN1 and test. how about Lan3 and 4?Check the Rj45 cable too !compare IPconfig/all of both laptops.

I tried all these but no luck. I can connect to only one port at anytime. When I use multiple ports only the first connected works. Thanks,Reddy

1.Post screen shot of WA 3004G4. status page.
2.Instead of connecting to WAN port connect to LAN port RJ45 from modem.
Para two.
If you don't post the results and say all ok , how we know where is the problem ?
1.Did you connect laptop(1) to lan1 lan2 lan3 lan4 and checked connection OK ?
2.Did you repeat the same for Laptop(2) ?
3. Now connect both laptops to lan3 and 4 ( modem Rj45 to WAN port )
4. which laptop gets connected ?
5. Repeat 3 with ( modem Rj45 conncted to LAN1)
In condition 3 above. post IPconfig/all details.

Your old report "limited or no connectivity" shows misconfiguration in TCP/IP or modem.
