I have TP-Link router 841n, 300mbps, got it in 2014, i need to reset it every one day or two, this increases speeds drastically aswell. Sometimes it creates problem too while connecting, I was wondering does anyone know the new model of tp link 2017 - 2018, 841n is hardware same or upgraded?
Does it make sense to buy latest version, this is on hardware version 8 and latest one is 13/14

And if I were to buy does TP link 1200 gigabit would it be better ? I personally not looking to spend much on these wifi router, under 1k is usually enough, but gigabit is likely to be new connection speed and this one will make it future proof, provided isp don't push their own modems..and routers.

I am also using the same since 2014..... No issues...... Sometimes it is up for say 15days, if there are no power cuts..... I have a desktop, a laptop, 2 TV boxes, tablet and 7-9 mobiles using the network. No speed drops even after 15days.

mine is

WR841N v10 00000000

Do check if there is a firmware update for your version.

that v10 means your's is hardware version 10, mine is v8.. when ever multiple device are connected to it, it tends to go bonkers or loose connection for some device.
