HI guys

Now we have got one more problem. Though the Zee Telecast rights has been canceled. Now the rights for the Ireland ODI series has gone to NEO SPORTS.
:madness:
Indiantelevision.com > News Headlines > Nimbus to telecast Ireland ODIs
:wall:
Do visit and give ur suggestions.

I think again Tata Sky viewers are going to face problems for this tournament.
😕
Mostly i think we may not be able to view this series also as we missed
Bangladesh series.
😡

This is a very old news 😡 but dont worry :O any one day matches which is played in India or any other place across the globe it needs to be telecasted in DD . So DD will telecast this channel live.

ajuravi perhaps you don't know this but the government has decided that private DTH operators have to pay money to the broadcasters , in this case neo sports if they are going to show the matches on their platform even if they are through DD and i completely agree with that. It's only a matter of time before neo and zee sports are back on Tata Sky. I'm very annoyed with them as i have missed the euro qualifiers on zee sports. I hope meaculpa has addressed this point in his complaint.

For me i dont have any problem if DD is not allowed to carry on DTH when the match is played as i do have normal cable connection, in which they will show the match. Last series against bagladesh Neo has also given feed to Raj TV in which i watched the test series but the commentry was in tamil. If you ur cable connection dont worry we can see the match either in DD or Raj TV. Basically i am chennai.

i dont think so. just recently Tata Sky and dishtv argued that DD is FTA channel and mandatory to show as per law. they are not showing match they are showing channel as per prasar bharti guidelines/rules and hence they are not obliged to pay anything. and i think argument was upheld by court.

Maahkaal, point has been addressed. As Tata Sky viewers, I think our grouse is very simple - we are subscribers paying a certain amount, and we expect a basic level of content. When cricket is not shown, the basic expectation is not being met. Now its up to Tata Sky to work with (or if necessary, around) the problems and ensure that we get the cricket broadcast. How they do it - whether they have to pay, use legal route, use muscle power - is really their headache. Ours will begin if again they fail to deliver cricket this time around yet again.

The government is going to bring out a regulation regarding this soon. Don't you see anything wrong in private dth operators being able to show the matches without paying any money to the broadcaster. So who exactly is going to pay a premium for neo sports if they get it for free on DD. With poor penetration , the channel will struggle to attract advertisers which means they won't be able to earn enough revenue to justify the price they paid for the exclusive rights.
