Aircel network problems around the country

no network on maid's aircel sim, she is going for no. change instead of dealing with mnp shit.
 
Latching onto Airtel in 2G manual mode works for now. Only sms. No calls.

I am not porting out yet as this is a spare number. Will wait for the official post mortem.
 
lol what are you expecting from official postmortem? i mean if you use this number, just port it!
 
The network is up again !

Any idea what's going on ! UPCs were being generated by latching on to Airtel/ BSNL ! Why the reboot ?
 
One possibility being that they want customers to use up their main balance in panic so that there will be less liability to refund.

Another is that they may continue operations in profitable circle/s (<=6) and aim for a wider relaunch as 4G/5G only operator, rather than quitting the sector altogether.
