What I don't understand is how a direct in2cable user is facing so much downtime when I don't have anytime downtime at all. @anonuser7 which plan you applied for in BSNL FTTH? and how did you apply?

In2cable downtime depends a lot on your local LCO, i have not faced any disconnection since the storm/lightning last month.

@RS4 Have you noticed any throttling lately. I think in2cable or One broadband has started throttling speeds.

What are they throttling? I have kept the connection but haven't recharged it yet because my BSNL FTTH connection has FUP free offer going on currently, will recharge once this offer with BSNL ends.
Talked with LCO and negotiated to 2200/month for 50mbps.

BSNL FTTH does not have the ping spike issue, works great for gaming. It is 10ms higher than one broadband to Singapore and 10-20ms to Europe but it is rock solid, no spikes.
Ping test - 73 ms - 2018-05-24 19:26

I have kept one broadband connection only because it is unlimited and if you say that they are throttling then I will have it removed.

Speedtest results shows 20mbps. But while downloading from link-removed and various other file sharing sites I noticed its only giving 500-600kbps. Download from Yotube is fine at 2-2.5mbps, After some testing its only affecting file hosting sites.
Spoke to LCO few minutes, he said he is also facing the same issue. Asked me to send him a screenshot and told me he will speak to in2cable in morning. Since my LCO is reseller he is worried in2cable is giving him less speeds.

@anonuser7

There is some weird thing happening since 4-5 days, youtube and other local speeds are good but downloading from streaming websites and many International websites get slow during different times of the day. But this is not consistent, sometimes after an hour or two speeds get back to full 10 Mbps from low 1-2 Mbps.

I cannot tell what is the problem, it can be isp bandwidth problems, more congestion or International bandwidth provider problem or maybe throttling.

has the situation returned to normal for you guys. I am still facing speed throttling.

Yeah apps in Win 10 store won't update because of this. I cannot update the game and the game wont start without the update.

Full 20mbps speed while downloading Nvidia Drivers.

I cannot even download 2 mb of app from Win 10 store

@Zexen @anonuser7 Are you still using One Broadband Fiber? What plan do you have in UCN? I have negotiated slowly through last 6 months and the One broadband LCO guy has increased the speed from 5 Mbps to 30 Mbps now for 1500 per month when paying for 3 months at once.

Connection is slowly degrading every month for me. From 50mbps to now 10mbps. 30mbps is 1675rs from my lco per month. One thing I can say for sure is pricing is different with each LCO. Hotstar is unwatchable no matter which plan.

Hotstar is working fine for me since last 2-3 months, it got fixed on its own, are you using One Broadband Fiber or Wifi CPE connection? And How is your UCN connection, what speed at what prices?

According to LCO its fiber but cat5e cable comes into my home which goes into router. My Hotstar still buffers even when I set it to 720p. If I leave it to auto it plays with pixels. UCN is expensive and the pings are higher but the download and upload speed is constant no matter the server. I am using their 10mbps@100gb post fup 1mbps 500rs plan. I get constant 1.6MB transfer rate while downloading. What DNS are you using on One Broadband.

I am using 8.8.8.8 DNS. Even my connection is Fiber to the building then Cat 5, During rains i had shouted on the LCO and he pulled fiber to my window but later i went away from Nagpur for a month and the work was not completed and i have not bothered till now as there is no disconnection since rainy season.

The Jio fear is real in my LCO, the same person who used to give me 5 Mbps for 1500 six months back has gradually increased speed to 10 then 20 and now 30 Mbps. The LCO has told me not to worry and that i will be using 100 Mbps within one year time.
