Video apps slow on Voda and Jio, but fine on Airtel and Idea

Access to Netflix, Hotstar etc, as well as Google Play Store (to download apps) are all super slow for me on Jio and Vodafone. But speedtest shows high speeds of 10-15 mbps, on Trai myspeed, Ookla (singapore), Netvelocity etc.

Now see the same test from Airtel.




Does anyone else face this problem? In other words, I have a lot of speed, according to testing sites, but hotstar, netflix, playstore etc don't work (they are giving speeds of only 100-200 kbps). On Jio, even JioTV doesn't work, and buffers because of this.

Location is Kochi, Kerala.

This problem affects only Vodafone and Jio, and Airtel and Idea behave as expected.

i have seen the same problem a while back on vodafone n jio. both seem to have shitty routing or too congested pipes i guess. i shifted to airtel sim after that. i had that same issue in kochi too. vodafone was totally crap.

Funny that connectivity to foreign countries is better on Jio network than Jio's own JioTV servers located in India.
