Hello!! 🙂 Guyz...This is a new member here from Mumbai!!!I just Submitted the MTNL Triband Application form today....Ive opted for the DSL NU package..Hope theyd arrive soon to get the connection fixed........I am totally unaware of the whole thing & how to use it:-What Precautions should i take during the first time installation & after that?What all prec. should i take when i start using it ....i.e; its capped daytime n free during nite time so what all things r to be taken care of so that I dont exhaust the allowed 500MB & utilize the nite free usage ...Ive read here ppl saying they restart their CPE/whatever device at 12 midnite or something & shutdown at 7.30 am.. esp. for NU...How is that done???Whats the process?? Plzz Explain????Hardware??HelplineNos/Billing/complaints etc....Thanxx for taking ur valuable time to read my post!!!Regards 🙂 , iluvmyindia
 
i think you should take a bit more time and read the forum a bit more...u'll get the answers of all of ur questions...if u still have any, u're free to ask here...but just try to browse through first 🙂

coolbuddy.........& all the guyz here!!!!!!Ive nearly read of the topics........but i really cant find nething that has tips on prec to be taken during first install.....Plzz help me with this as he's(MTNL lineman)gonna arrive today ne time........Itd be better if i know all about configuration n related stuff during the first install!!!!!Its a gr8 idea to have a tutorial or something for newbies!!!!thanxx a lot!!!!
 
the mtnl guy will come n do all the installation... if u have a lan card hel do it thru that... or thru usb... in whichever case hel install the router... all the router settings can be changed from 192.168.1.1(default) .. i.e. by typing that in ur web browser...the net shud wrk... ... i doubt if we have any connectivity problem posts on the forum apart from the ones due to rains... if u have any other problems like speed n p2p downloading im sure ul find it on the forum sumwhere.if u have nethgin else please post a fresh topic.

😀 :lol: (((((((((((HURRAY))))))))))))) 😀 :lol: Just got my new connection installed at my place.....Everything is working fine.......except for one thing the speeds.........actually i had installed the modem in my room where i have a parallel of the main......Maybe thats why the speed is slow.......lemme see later during the nite......if the speeds r still slow or okay!!!!!!I let u know !!!!!!@coolbuddy.............The most imp.Reqd Tut. Topics would be config during first time installation tweaking (for maximising the D/L speeds) common errors soln. to common problems simple yet imp infor abt packages i.e; DSL NU - u gotta switch on ur CPE after 12 midnite & switch it off before 8 a.m.for utilizing the free D/L allowance in the same....Danks........ 🙂
