Hi everyone,
I've tried all possible avenues to forward calls from my Reliance jio number to BSNL number.
I have tried in multiple phones, multiple SIM cards and it never gets forwarded from Reliance jio to BSNL sim.
So can you please someone try forwarding get call from Reliance jio to BSNL in verify that it succeeds.
Please do not suggest, new methods, just verify if the forwarding works from Jio to BSNL.
Please respond to the poll.

Thanks
Cheers:emoji_v:

In India it is not possible to forward call of one operator to the other.

@gopichandpai
I am using Call forwarding for several years and I tried call forwarding between Idea and Vodafone and it worked.
Regarding Call forwarding from JIO to some other number, I tried with forwarding from JIO to Idea, and it works. If my JIO number is not reachable or out of network (if I am on call from other sim), then incoming calls to my JIO number gets forwarded to my Idea number.
I think it took me several attempts to get this Call forwarding working, and now also it takes very long to get to that setting compared to other network sim.

I have used jio to airtel before. Currently forwarding Airtel to jio and is working perfectly. Both are Delhi no.
Someone on other site wrote only jio to Bsnl is a problem. within pvt operators working fine.
So Bsnl is the culprit here.

@skarthik345 -

Call Forwarding from Jio:
Unconditional - *401*<Other Operator Number>
Not Reachable - *402*<Other Operator Number>
No Answer - *403*<Other Operator Number>

Dial *413 from your Jio Number to cancel Call Forwarding.

I had JIO to MTNL forwarding. And it used to work during FREE period.

Then I didnt recharge JIO - so it stopped working.

^^^ Call forwarding is like making outgoing calls. It uses minutes/amount from your account. So if outgoing calls is not working, call forwarding will also not work.

so if airtel signal is weak in my area... how does call forwarding work?

right. realized a bit late. that brings the next illogical question. who pays the IUC for call forwarding 😀

i mean like right now i am forwarding all calls to airtel to jio... doesn't jio benefit from this setting?

and i understand there are no special charges for this? since calls are virtually unlimited on both airtel and jio... this would not really cause any issues for a moderate user?

Every forwarded call is like an outgoing call. Normally, Airtel would charge you for forwarding a call and pay IUC to Jio. But, they've already charged you a hefty sum so it's on them.
