What are the current Jio recharge plans?

Does anyone know what are the current Jio recharge plans? I recharged all my numbers with either the 2GB per day plans or the 1 GB per day plans earlier this month from the jio.com website. It showed up 84 days validity in one and 56 days validity in the other but I am now being sent reminders to recharge again in a month. So, was the 84 days plan not valid as I used one in the past? If so, what are the actual recharge plans. I again went to the Jio.com website today to recharge and it is showing up all plans as unlimited without any details. There is no validity mentioned nor a recharge amount.



Also not sure why I got only 30 days validity on Rs.399 recharge earlier this month. It showed up 84 days validity when I recharged but it only gave one third I suppose. Jio has now reduced to below 1 Mbps speed for the last few weeks and the speeds have become sort of terrible lately. I have been maintaining 5 numbers ( 2 numbers of 2GB per day each and 3 numbers of 1 GB per day each) throughout all these months as a paid customer. I again recharged today as advised by Jio as I trust and support them still but I am confused over this whole thing including the Jio recharge options or lack of clarity thereof and the terrible dial up speeds that I have been getting lately too. At night 3-4 am or so, I again get 30 Mbps + speeds but throughout the day and up to night 12 am or more, it is less than 1 Mbps nowadays.

Today I made two different recharges for two of the numbers. On one number, I did a 459 recharge which showed up 84 days validity in My Plans in My Jio app (last month too it showed 84 days but it instead worked for only a month). On another number, I did a 309 plan which showed 49 days validity. I am totally confused about this whole mess up. I mean how can a 309 plan give 49 days with 1 GB per day while a 459 or 399 only give 1 month in reality (that is what I got this month on the 399 plan) with 1 GB per day? Hope the plans and recharges are clarified soon and the service is improved. I took up a BSNL 3G to test on the request of BSNL employees and honestly, it is giving better speeds than the sub 1 Mbps speeds of Jio lately. I have been a huge critic of BSNL especially their broadband but the surprising part is that BSNL is improving and Jio is turning worse both in speed and pricing with time. Hope that things again turn back to normal. I had been waiting for Jio Fiber for ages too but it hardly seems that there is any definite plans to launch it. It is again getting postponed indefinitely.

this mean many customers are using jio in your area and towers are not able to cope up. write to customer care and tell them about this problem.

open myjio app and see what plan is currently active in your number. then call customer care and confirm with them.

fiber takes a really long time to install plus test so dont wait for them till they announce it formally. if bsnl works out for you, by all means use them. they have similar plans as jio now I think

There is some error where you will get sms of expired plan. Happened with me but was working fine later.
Don't recharge just contact the support (best is on twitter).
If recharge expires you won't be able to make calls to non-jio no.
Speed reduction is because of network overload rather expiry of recharge as net won't work after expiry.

The MyJio app shows 84 days validity during recharge and then only activates one month validity. @igloo I recharged the numbers already yesterday when I made the post but you are right. Maybe I should test it out by not recharging it once. On one number, I have recharged 2GB per day in advance for a whole year several months back. Rest I should probably wait for it to really expire. What happens if you do not recharge immediately? Does it stop working?

I also got a BSNL 3G recharge with 3 GB per day plan for far cheaper price on the request of BSNL employees. And surprisingly, it is giving a lot better speed even though it is cheaper and 3G instead of 4G in the case of Jio. I have always complained for BSNL for the last 10 years as most know as it was terrible. Jio was sort of the best thing that happened to my life. But surprisingly both the BSNL 3G and the BSNL broadband are gradually becoming stable while the reverse is happening in the case of Jio.

I know Fiber may not be soon. But Fiber has been laid ages ago throughout the main roads etc. in Guwahati. In fact, there was water pipeline work and road work in Guwahati after that and I doubt most Fiber lines are cut since then. I even contacted Jio regularly all the time and sent them email about the road works and cuts etc. but no one responded. I doubt they would need to relay everything again or fix a lot as no one is maintaining the lines. It was just one time line laying 4-5 years back and no one even checked or came to maintain to check when the road work or other stuff goes on. Jio has Fiber network throughout all major cities and towns in the country but I doubt the non-maintenance of the Fiber lines might delay the Fiber roll out even further.

I don't think you can get Jio fiber in guwahati. They got many big cities to cover up first.
Get Jiolink instead if you got good contacts in jio. Visit the nearest Jio processing center(ask jio store about the address).

Other chance can be for Bsnl Fiber. Though they need some minimum connection commitment(read bsnl fiber topics) to lay fiber in your area. Follow the Bsnl exchange and twitter for higher authority contacts.

Yes, I know about BSNL Fiber and had been requesting them for around 4-5 years now. I was even in one of their highest home plans costing around Rs. 3300 (including taxes) in those days. But they said they did not have enough customers to lay Fiber lines. Most people on our road have own houses with a few rental apartments in few houses (including in our house too). The tenants do not normally go for wired lines and so, the penetration is pretty low for wired broadband which I agree. But although they did not inform me, they tried to use me to fix a Fiber cut during road construction on our road. Actually, that is the time that I knew that BSNL had Fiber on our road in an internal house (maybe some political connection house.. not sure) but did not provide me all these years. I helped in resolving the Fiber cut issue as I was a local guy in the area (actually BSNL tried to dig up the road once it was relaid with sand and rollers were run due to which local residents got irritated and the dispute started) but then they said they abandoned the Fiber line as they did not want to get involved more in the dispute.

So, Fiber is not a chance anymore I suppose. If I would have been provided Fiber since the start when I requested 5 years ago and the first Fiber lines were laid (I did not even know back then that there was Fiber in my road), I would have always maintained it well probably as I have always done with their normal broadband line. I always take care and inform immediately during cuts etc. In fact, my BSNL phone is dead again today and I will inform tomorrow hopefully. On a positive note, BSNL officers got the lines taken in front of my house. The DB box in front of my house was around 20-30 years old when BSNL first came with landline but he lines were damaged in all these years and so, most people disconnected the lines especially after the advent of mobiles. So, they had to lay fresh DSL lines again and even though I am the only customer but they laid fresh lines to my DB box on a lot of requests. Overall, BSNL is unpredictable and has had a lot of problems in the last 10 years but it is becoming better with time. Again, it is completely unpredictable as I mentioned which is the main issue as I need internet for work too and it disturbs everything. Jio on the other hand was like a savior with perfect internet and no major disconnection in the last 1.5 years. Even when it was a free network, the speeds or network were not this terrible. But Jio is now becoming almost unusable and has got terrible speeds and issues with time. I hope I am not stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea once again. Jio Fiber would have been the perfect peace of mind. I have noticed that when BSNL broadband works, there are very few issues. Wireless broadband such as 3G or 4G are completely unpredictable at times with uncertain speeds and other issues. So, Jio Fiber might be the best option and most reliable if it launches in the near future.

NOTE: I have called every major ISP in India for the last 10 years to come to Guwahati but no one is existent in Assam (only wireless broadband i.e. 3G and 4G available, no wired broadband/Fiber). Only Jio is the first ISP that has at least laid lines throughout Guwahati and most other places in Assam. So, Jio is the only real option here. Overall the situation is honestly better than pre-Jio period as other ISPs are also becoming better but the uncertainty is what is worrying me more.
