Well I started with the Bulletin Board service before internet arrived in India.....
It was network with in Delhi.... to be connected through dialup....
Then VSNL came with dial up.... VSNL internet Charges + MTNL land line charges..... it was very expensive...

Wait, whats happening here ? 1399 450 GB plan from/of which city? and what do you mean 50% discount for 6 months and where can i get me some of that ?
@TheWhiteWolf Just call CC they'll upgrade your data quota. btw i m from jaipur too
@ShanksZ Ok, I don't know what's going on over at Airtel but I called them to ask about the broadband plans because u keep insisting that your 1399 plan has been upgraded to 450 GB and you are from Jaipur. I just off the call from them after like 30 mins, I asked them about the plans and they told me that the 699, 799 999 and the 1199 (the one I have) plans are the same as in the brochure I have (Which the guy from whom I got my Broadband connection through insists is fresh, only 2-3 weeks old) which are 30 GB, 40 GB, 80 GB and 125 GB respectively. But...BUT....the 1399 plan is 325 GB and not 175 GB as in the brochure and also that there are no 1599 and 1999 plans!!
I repeatedly told them that the area in-charge through whom I got my connection assured me that brochure is fresh and these are the latest plans and even their site showed the 1999 plan as 325 GB but the executive insisted that there isn't a 1999 plan anymore and the 1399 plan gives 325 GB. She even asked her superior and told me that he confirmed these are the latest plans, told me that if I want to she can get the plan upgraded right now. I told her to have someone rechecked the plans and give me a call back in a few hours.
So idk what's going, you are claiming you are getting 450 GB from the 1399 plan, the CC executive is claiming that's it's 325 GB, the Airtel guy who's in-charge in my area is claiming that it's 175 GB (Same as on the site). 2 of you must be wrong or misinformed somehow, let's see.

@TheWhiteWolf You are right. i also called em about it. executive said i m getting extra because my plan is old . Highest plan currently available is 1399 (325 Gb). and site will be upgraded soon. Sorry My Bad.
I am from gurgaon.This plan was offered to me by the retention team.The plan data was 175 gb +30gb retention data+ 20 gb for my dth connections with them.The data was increased 2 days back i think.Now i am being offered 450+30+ 20 gb for rs 700+ tax for next 5 months.Than i need to call them again for renewing my benefits.
Wow, how do I get these benefits? Those are insane benefits, you are paying half and getting more than 250% of your plan data!
Did you ask 'em about the other plans? Are the less priced plans still the same? What did they do to the 1599 and the 1999 plan, just reduced the prices and bills for whoever had them? That's insane!
Also, here's something insane, I got the 1000 GB bonus a second time. I now have 2100 GB left out of my 2155 GB. If I upgraded to the 1399 plan, will the extra data not rollover to the next month or cause I have over 1 TB it won't until I drop below that, or does that 1 TB limit not include the bonus ?

I don’t think they reduced their bills just increased their quota
If you upgrade to any other plan which is under data rollover offer, then your previous left data will be rolled over.
data rollover doesn't include bonus data so technically your unused data(plan data)will get rollover.
How did u get extra 1 TB ?
and for discount you should wait at least 1-2 months then send threating mail ( Disconnection XD) most probably they will give you discount.(i got 500 rs discount on 1999 plan and now got 700 gigs pm lol)
