It is currently working for me. But, this page is known to work on and off for the longest time I can remember.

So both of these are working for me right now:

  1. airtel
  2. http://122.160.230.125:8080/gbod/
Don't know how long they'll last though.

Just noticed this data rollover today and came here to talk about it. I'm on ₹1099/month plan from Chennai.

Another bad decision from Airtel for not allowing 699/899 as eligible for Data Roll Over Offer.

Happy moving to Jio once it's launched.

Sorry for going off topic but it would be great if you guys could help me out a bit. Was thinking of applying for a vfibre connection but couldn't find any reviews related to how suitable the connection is for online gaming.
Previously, I was using hathway but the pings were quite high so switched to excitel which suffers from extreme packet loss.
So, if possible, please do a tracert or pingtest to these 3 ip addresses:
1) 185.179.202.213
2) 43.239.136.208
3 ) 213.163.73.138
Thanks in advance 🙂

Here are the pings:

Ping statistics for 185.179.202.213:
Minimum = 163ms, Maximum = 166ms, Average = 164ms
Ping statistics for 43.239.136.208:
Minimum = 290ms, Maximum = 292ms, Average = 291ms
Ping statistics for 213.163.73.138:
Minimum = 192ms, Maximum = 193ms, Average = 192ms

I am thinking of getting Airtel Fiber (Switched to BSNL a year ago, massive pain. Before that, Tikona was a massive pain.) but in my city (Jaipur) Pre-Fup data is only 80 GBs for the 999 plan so this new rollover offer is useless for me, right (Cause Pre-Fup data is consumed first) ?

Also, can anyone help me with some details -

- On Airtel's site, it says that customers get additional 10GB data every month for each postpaid phone and digital TV connection in their house. I have 2 postpaid Airtel no.s and a Digital TV connection in my house, so I'll get 30GB (Total 110GB) additional data every month or is this another one of those bull offers that they'll hesitate to give or have many ToS limits over (For ex, Max 20GB only)?

- Their site says they are giving additional 750GB with this plan until March 2018 but only if I apply online but I have seen a few comments on this forum regarding this and they mention that they'll give the additional data anyway (even if I apply with cash) when I call and ask for it after installation, how solid is this information (I don't wanna lose 750GB additional data) ?

- What will be the total cost of installation? I know they charge 500 for the modem they install, do they also charge any security deposit or any other installation charges in general?

Thanks for the help.

- you will get 30 gb simply by linking the connection via my airtel app

- bonus data was supposed to be for new customers but they are offering it to existing customers as well but why take a chance

- 500 bucks afaik but not sure other can confirm

Got the bonus data with my old connection also. Keep in mind that it is applicable only till March 2018. Just gave them a call and they activated.
Airtel is usually no fuss.

Thanks a ton bro! You just saved me a whole lot of disappointment. It's quite surprising that a small player like excitel manages to connect to hong kong servers with a much lesser latency (120ms) as compared to airtel's 290ms.
Oh well, it's better to stay with excitel then... will just have to deal with the massive packet loss

Will the retention amount in this page only appear after end of the current bill cycle?

I am on the 1099/month plan - checked with Airtel CC and got reply that data carryover is applicable in my plan

Regards

Man this is the golden time for broadband in India! I remember almost a year back, I was paying 1299 for 30 gb and now it's 1099 for 325 GB and carry over data damn!!!!

You are yet to see golden days. It's still shit to me. Golden days are 100mnps up/down lowest ping at Rs. 1500 or less. No FUP.

Don't tell be about Excitel. I expect the above plan from Airtel or Jio only.

Guys i think they changed plan(jaipur). its 700 gig now. just saw this morning . i m on 1999 plan it was 325 gig before
