Guys off topic: Just wanted to check if anyone has activated ISD on their airtel fixed line phone. I got new FTTH connection last month and installed landline too along but Airtel is not able to activate ISD on my phone citing some technical issue. I know hardly anybody uses landline these days but my mom is used to landline phone and calls to her sisters in other cities and abroad, earlier we had Tata walky but it got closed because Tata shut down that offering. Airtel is not giving any valid reason on non provision of ISD service except asking more time(already spent 1 month on this). Several escalation to their NET(national escalation team) marking gopal vital ID has not yielded any result. Local nodal is useless.

Also he told me that the Bonus Big Byte 500GB Data that I have active on my number will be there and on asking about the cheaper plans he told me that only 499 (30Gb) is available.

Yes there is a plan lower than Rs.899.
I recently changed my plan to Rs.799(100gb) and Rs.300 lifetime discount. So thats Rs.499+tax.🙂

Can I offer them bribe or offer them to bear the extra cost of fiber cable required to bring it to my home? Any way to get this connection at my home?
That 100mbps will be provided on Fiber, Right? So there should not be an issue of coverage since fiber does not have any signal loss. So technically they can provide it to me?
I just applied for airtel bb via their website and they called back instantly and told me they are sending someone tomorrow for checking my location. When I applied last time they told me its not available at my location.

The plans in Kolkata have been upgraded too. It's not yet reflected on the website though. My 1099 plan which gave 100gb earlier now gives 250gb.
The were giving 750 GB bonus data for the 899 plan earlier, are they not doing that now? Don't go by whats on the airtel website, that is bonus data for fresh connections only, they have another data scheme going on for existing customers called "Big Byte". Call customer care and request to have that added to your account.
Did you call to have the plan changed or was it done automatically?
