Please suggest LAN card for BSNL connection. Also, can I connect using LAN on board an ECS motherboard? Though I plan to get a separate LAN card, I want to know if it is required to setup the connection?

Which OS do you have? I am using Intex LAN card which uses Realtek RTL8139. It's working fine and I bought it for just Rs. 187(including VAT). It's a very common chip and I dont have to do anything on my Win XP. It gets detected and no need of drivers or anything.

D-Link has introduced a special stripped down version of lan card for BBand connections. There is no bios chip socket etc. etc. ;)
