max d/l in an hour

Whats the problem with uploading? you could cap your uploads to around 18-20k/s and not suffer any reduction in downloads speeds..If everyone throttled their upload the whole concept of bittorrent would die..
 
actually what i have observed is Bitcomet gives good speeds when the uploads and downloads both are set to "No Limits" (unlimited).The minute i limited it to some value say 3 or 4 it effected the download speeds.I also usually seed the file for a week or so....wonder what that does, but as long its not effectin my downloads it doesn't matter much.
 
ohh i dont have any porbs with uploads... i upload everything i download and even had a few torrents of my own 😀 .. infact my upload ratio for almost every torrent is aound 2 .. its just that i found this way of downloading to be more productive then others! ..
 
i get around 110 + using nntp
 
i dont thinik mtnl has its own nntp servers..how do i configure external ones? i want em free of cost 😛

heh there are hundreds of free servers around. Less than a handful carry binary groups and that the only do when they are in a test phase prior to either going pay or just going down.

Moment u announce a binary news server for free watch the fun ... if it stays up for more than a week i am surprised at it
 
Can someone tell me what these newsgroups are and how they work?Back on topic: I get around 100 mb in an hour and that too on torrents. Capping your upload speeds is totally against what bittorent stands for. For MTNL 256k users you should cap your "global" upload speeds to around 23-24 when your downloading and leave it to unlimited when you're not. This way it won't come in the way of your download speeds.
 
well arnd 100mb but well 4 some reason the speed goes on decreasing thru the nite...tried scheduling modem reboot still no help...damn i am unlucky
 
I recently noticed a prob with BitComet...When m only dnloadin on BItcomet and none of the p2ps, then at the time of disconnetim, my ADSL light of my DSL-502T is off....Is it just me or has ne1 noticed it...Ne solns in mind??? 🤔
