ya..... microsoft should have sold windows 7 cheaper for users who had vista . the problem is most people didn't switch from xp till windows 7 was released . even now i see xp @ many places .
Err I thought when Windows 7 was launched Vista users were given a free upgrade... Atleast it was given in US & Canada for sure... Not sure if they gave it in India... Many ppl were pissed @ vista so a free upgrade seemed like a salve to nurse their wounds & get ppl to like Windows again 🙂 ...

I can't really say anything good about macs or iOS as both are limiting OS .actually i don really consider iOS and Android as OS but they fit the definition of the OS so i can't really say much .
But i really like steve jobs as a businessman . he has made people buy stuff that they normally wouldn't buy . he has made tablets popular, many companies tried but failed , he succeeded . i can safely say that about 95% of people who buy ipad don't really need it but Apple actually made ipad into a luxury item as it is essentially a bigger ipod touch and hence people once bought it as a luxury item and then when rich kids and rich people had those ipads other not-so-rich people started buying them to feel rich by just spending less than a 1000 $ . the same goes for macbooks , if you've the money you can feel good about yourself as you'll have that apple logo . In all honesty MACBOOKS are not that bad but not as great as people who buy them make them seem to be. If i wanted to be a businessman i would have studied steve jobs and apple in detail . steve jobs is a marketing genius according to me . he would have made it in many other fields but i don't think bill gates would have made it in other fields .
Ok so I knew iOS was limiting but I was yet to hear than mac os was limiting? I guess by limiting u mean they cant be installed on PCs very easily? I guess you are right... Anyway As I have said before Apple is a niche player in the PC market... They are not looking to sell as many computers as Dell or HP... Most of the ppl who have good things to say about macbooks or mac in general are mac users not PC users... I dont really see anything wrong with a company wanting to target the premium sector of the market... Complaining Apple makes only costly products is like saying BMW or Porsche should make cars that everyone can afford... Its basically choosing your target audience & then selling to them...
PS I have always loved the iPad is just a big iPod Touch argument 😀... I guess everyone should just buy a 22 in TV instead of buying 32"/40"/55" TVs as they display the same picture right??? iPad did well coz its extra screen area allowed ppl to do some stuff better than they were able to do on their iPhone 🙂... BTW you are right that iPad is a luxury item but so are almost everything we use day to day... Cars/Bikes/Computers/Mobiles/TVs etc etc etc... We buy this stuff to please ourselves... What might be a luxury for you might feel like a necessary item for others 🙂 ...
