I am switching to Air Tel 128 kbs unlimited. I need to share the connection between 3 pcs so i'm going for a router (YOZAN ). I need to know 1) Hows that router in terms of satibility and Disconnects? im not worried about its life period as airtel should replace it if any fault occurs2) What configurations you can do with this router? like caping download speed of terminal pc.3)I am told the air tel guy will confiure it, is it too difficult to configure it that we cant do ourselves and edit changes after its configurerd by airtel or airtel wont give us pw to acess the router?4)is there any other features of that router? like logging sites etc as few companys do.5)What is ping speed you get like if you ping yahoo.com? right now im getting this with another ISP.Pinging yahoo.com [66.94.234.13] with 32 bytes of data:Reply from 66.94.234.13: bytes=32 time=275ms TTL=53Reply from 66.94.234.13: bytes=32 time=276ms TTL=53Reply from 66.94.234.13: bytes=32 time=275ms TTL=53Reply from 66.94.234.13: bytes=32 time=275ms TTL=53Ping statistics for 66.94.234.13: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 275ms, Maximum = 276ms, Average = 275ms6) hows the service of airtel...like the average time they take to solve a problem? someone told me he had a problem with his phone and he was told it will be fixed in 4 hrs and indeed was.

u need to share between 3 users? get urself a simple cheap switch. make the yozan modem a gateway and enjoy!

Hi, Thnx for replying.Well I have a switch, Thats what i'll do make it gateway...but my doubts persist...most important of them all is if i can cap download speed of client pc to lets say 5 kb ? and others I asked above.

that would be tough with a switch unless you use a proxy to let them access the net 😛

I am very confused...Also i just checked with a friend and he told me that I just use router to connect more pcs and dont use switch (hmmmm) and said if i get better router it does let you cap the download speed. If anyone is using that Yonax router, can u post a ss of configuration page which might give me better id as if how things r worked.I tried searching for more information about that router on Internet without any sucessAnd btw nice forum 🙂Subhash what ping speed you get when u ping yahoo.com ?

as much i know u don't need any switch/hub only if u're router has more than one port...like Cisco ones having 4 ports...otherwise, u'll need something for sure... 🙂

And btw nice forum[/b]

don't be surprised if u find urself addicted to this forum soon 😀

@COOLBUDDY...Yes Sir, So next question comes is that Yonax router has a mutiple ports or not? Someone whos using yonax router can may be tell us better and also about what extra configurations you can make with that router.oh and nice avatar lol!, thats the state im in now 😛
