hi,
I live in arehalli ,uttarahalli area,Bangalore. there is 10g broadband which they say is also known as den broadband .their plans seem ok .they are giving the internet via fiber till switching box and then through an ethernet cable , speeds up to 100mbps.

the thing is they are asking 2000rs non-refundable installation charge citing the cost of switching box is very expensive around 32k and it is a managed switch it seems (whatever that means) and plan is also prepaid .so if anyone has used this in Bangalore, please tell how is it, reliability, speed, customer service e,t,c.

No one I know has taken the connection around my home. I may be the first one taking .also I have no choice from other providers except bsnl which I don't want to take.

whats the plans of the broadband if you can say ..

no mate I am myself finding a good ISP as I will move there soon so gathering information beforehand.

if you are specifically moving to arehalli area , then you're in for a hard time getting a good connection. after hunting for 1 and half year I found these people.they don't even market their broadband ,I myself proactively found them

No, I am moving else where near whitefield .. but I thnk every isp has somewhat less or more connectivity..

whitefield has many good options like airtel, act, hathway, spectranet .you need not worry a bit

act has bad fup plans.. here in Kolkata I use 20mbps unlimited under 1500rs incl tax.. and I use around 250gb download per month.. which is not available in Act I guess.. so it will be a problem for me.. as I am an internet freak

Did you take the connection? I've moved to Arehalli too and planning to evaluate them.

i am on 50mbps 200gb plan. they have peering with google and Netflix, you will get good speeds on them no matter what .for first 15 days there was a lot of fluctuations like it used to go to 2mbps on normal speed test .now a days consistent 50mbps i am getting overall i would say yes to them .we anyways don't have a better option

Thanks for the reply! BSNL FTTH is available in my apartment so am evaluating between these two. BSNL has 20Mbps 75 GB/40mbps 100GB (1mbps afterwards) plans and 10g broadband plans look better.

Installation cost may be too high 🙁 Will call them and have a chat and evaluate my options.

According to me, bsnl plans are just plain rubbish and costly compared to this , if you're a heavy user like me . Anyways you look like you reside in an apartment near Chaitanya school (intentionally didn't mention apartment name for privacy reason) , if yes I too had bsnl , though it was reliable, plans are to costly as i told.
