I went to exchange office, they said i need to do it myself online. Then i registered and changed my tariff plan. Its been 30 hours now and im still running the old plan.

I called customer care. Here is my conversation with the lot:
1. First guy said that you cannot change your plan online and that I need to go to exchange office to get my plan changed. I told him that i already went to exchange office and they said that I need to change it myself and I did change my plan myself but it did not change as of yet (after 26 hrs)

2. Second guy said, that plan change takes place in 12 hrs. Then i said its already been more then 24 hrs and plan did not change. Then he said that plan change takes 7 days.

3. Third guy said that plan change takes place in 24-48 hours. So, he seamed reasonable and i was tired of calling and being put on hold. So, I said OK and got myself a complaint number if incase my plan did not change

I talked to 3 guys and they all said different and quite opposite of eachother regarding my plan change. So, i got my ass here since you guys have definitely have much better idea regarding when my plan will change.
I changed my online plan @ selfcare portal on thursday and as of writing this post its been 30 hours. Halp!

EDIT: My plan changed within 48hrs and my problem has been solved so i have edited the title and edited the post so i would not bump the post. Thanks for the replies guys!

I tried to change the plan 6 months ago. It never changed. Then, I made a visit to the local CSC and got it changed.

I'd recommend waiting for a week. If it didn't change, file an official complaint at http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp . Good luck!

ok thanks for sharing the info guys. The thing is that i cannot wait that long. I want it to be done quick. Customer care executive told me that it will be done by tmrow and also gave me a complaint number incase it wasn't done so. So, is there anything i can say or do on completion of 48 hrs that will lead them to change my plan quickly. I may or may not even be here in a week time.
