No wonder their guy was already talking about "data limits soon" even before you were hooked up, this is the reason!

stuck with this shit for 90 days. hopefully excitel guys would overhaul their local network in this time period because excitel would be shit in three months with their current infra.

at least i did not pay much for installation. the whole fiber thing seems like an expensive deal.

10% ping loss is hilarious.

@Sushubh How do you take these automated speedtests? Also, why did you pay for 3 months in advance and not one month to just test?

I am using this script:
Modified version of Henrik Bengtsson's speedtest-cli code which will dispatch the test results to the IFTTT Maker Channel. · GitHub

I have a Pi so it is easy to run this script through the day. I am not sure if this would work with just a Windows machine even though W10 does have Ubuntu command line on it. I am sure there are going to be automated solutions that work on Windows but I have not checked for any.

I paid for three months because installation was free on it. Otherwise, I had to pay Rs. 800 for installation which was more than a month's plan. so my choices were to pay 720+800 for one month or 720*3 for three months. So decided to pay for three months.

Ping seems stable here. Speeds are also somewhat reasonably stable.

1% ping loss right now. one would have hoped for better results from a ftth connection. but nope!

The speeds seem stable during off peak hours, real test would be from now till about 11 PM, lets see if the speed remains consistent.

yup. things are just bad on it like excitel. random downtimes and slowdowns. seems pointless to dump excitel for it.

you should have tried triple play to be honest, they are quite good atleast from atlast 2 yrs, apart from a bit hiccups.

i have seen tripleplay posters around my sector. plans are not very good though.
