I remember a Sify Broadband reporting this on the forum many years ago. Excitel is delivered through the same route as Sify so no surprises here. In fact, my local Excitel guy also said that the reason why internet fails during rains is because water enters the ethernet pipes and damage their hardware. Cheerio.

So that water is part of broadband package or charged extra? 😀
BTW last year as well as this year occasionally my Idea broadband will have no internet access through WiFi during rainy season. Issue gets resolved on its own. Last year I had called CC, they said their Engineer will check. But nobody visited and issue was resolved.

Thats what you get when you crimp an ethernet cable like a bafoon. You are supposed to crimp the outer sheath along with the rest of the wires into the connector, not strip it so far back that all you crimp are the wires itself. The other end will probably look the same, making it in effect a conduit for water to flow through it.

Lmao, the packets are leaking. In all seriousness, they should waterproof the boxes and provide a drop like

Probably easiest way to solve this is to create a loop like above and make a (safe) cut at lower end of the loop.

Water will then drain out from that cut
