Right now im using Hathway. but soon will be changing to Airtel.I would like to know wether Airtel allows me to use my own moden to access the net ?? The modem i got is Motorola SURFboard ! it is failry robust so i dnt wanna give it back to Hathway, that is if i can use it with airtel !!And about the airtel tariffs do they charge for changing of tariffs ?? because their installation charges are different for different schemes. like 500rs for 1GB and 900rs for unlimited. I was thinkin can i choose a 1GB tariff first and then shift to unlimited tariff, in this way i can save 400rs !!!

Hey..The motorola surfboard modem is a Cable modem..Airtel is DSL.....so your modem wont work....

As far as the changing of plans go, the salesman who got me the plan said generally speaking they are more than happy to upgrade plans for free (i.e. if you are going to a more expensive plan, they won't charge you), but if you move down, then they would... didn't say how much.

God doesnt put restrictions on his creation !!! relaince has a cap of max 10GB !!
How can u live with that ??? and they say its unlimited ???

the most misunderstood word in the indian ISP area is "unlimited"
they just dnt seem to graps its meaning and go on having their own intepretations of it ... to our dismay

i was more talking abt reliance to launch their broadband services in its complete form. much like their mobile services. what they have now is partial implementation mate. 🙂 though due to the split between the two brothers, the fully blown service from the company would take sometime to appear on the horizon.

yeah, am also hoping that Reliance will give other ISPs the run for their money!!! 😛

heh sometime in the future is what i can say. anil is in a mess and reliance broadband is under him. 😉

and if im not mistaken reliance bb was under mukesh before the split !!! so its a new owner at the helm now and more time for him to come to terms with the workings of the BB buisness...... so this means the wait just got longer 😱
