I agree with google_singh.
We are not talking about buying spurious ration from the corner shop to get it cheap. We are talking about a service priced decently with some decent levels of service.
People in urban India aren't going to spend 10 % of their monthly salary just to get some service are they?
And Rs. 600 isn't any cheap either. It's appropriate for an internet service.

This sounds the same as what one Cust Care Rep or some Sify official had told some member of this forum that what more can you expect for Rs. 600 / month. This is just a plainly ridiculous thing to say.
Incidentally google_singh, I think airtel has a Rs. 600/month pack. Maybe you've got to shell out around a thousand for the installation, not sure, check it out at airtel's website.
