Torrents throttled on Airtel V-Fiber Broadband?

I have been a loyal Airtel customer since a decade. I used to get 2MBps down speed on torrents and P2P on my earlier 16mMbps connection. I recently upgraded to their V-Fiber 40Mbps plan, and although speedtest always shows correct speed, my torrent speeds have reduced to just 500-1000 Kbps, with rare spikes to 4MBps (tested well seeded Ubuntu torrent).
Because of this I am facing issues with my college's P2P server as well.
Can anyone confirm this issue? It is throttling or just problem with my connection?
 
I'm currently facing quite similar issue with airtel V-Fiber in Chennai. I've shared my issue here can you please check if you face similar issue? Our issue seems to be quite same.
 
I get full speed on torrents and P2P on Vfiber here in Delhi. My connection provides around 30 Mbps on the 40 plan as I am far from DSLLAM. I get 3.5 MBps on downloads and sometimes as high as 3.8 as well.
 
@Lobogris Can you see in your router whether UPnP is enabled or not?, it should be under Service tab if you are using Beetle Router. Also if it is disabled can you post Dsl Settings from Setup>WAN.
Idk but I just don't get speeds on torrents, limited to 1 MBps with spikes to 1.6. Do you know what might be the cause?
 
@waterloo_sunset Can I enable Upnp for port forwarding or do i have to do it specifically with the port displayed inside preferences of bittorent?

I forwarded the port which my torrent client was using and speed got to a stable 1.6 MBps but when I just for checking, disabled it and enabled UPnP, I started to get my full bandwidth of 4 MBps, why is it so? Should I leave it enabled or go with specific port forwarding only?

No, UPnP is not enabled. The settings only show ip address under WAN. Are you looking for any particular information?
I am not sure of the cause. Can you check on firewall settings? Also sometimes torrents just don't have fast seeds available. Can you check with a very popular torrent to see if the speeds are any better?

i can only assume that the port was not forwarded correctly....upnp will also work but it is a hit or miss...you might need to restart your torrent client occasionally.
 
When i do speed test at Speedtest.net getting 30 Mbps, but my torrent downloads at 10 Kbps to 100 Kbps MAX. Using Airtel broadband as ISP with Huawei HG630a modem+Router.

Please advice if i do any settings in my modem.
