For the people who are getting constant Top up page, i suggest you to simply restart your router after you click on the 'Happy Browsing' tab, after that you won't be getting the message anymore. Don't avail the top ups unless you specifically want to, or else you'll be charged depending on the topup you selected on next billing cycle. Go to your nearest BSNL customer care office and ask them to remove the topup incase you have accidentally activated it.

@Notos are u using g.dmt modulation instead of adsl2+ ?

@All Also telecom talk article states that this offer is valid for 3 Months. BB users can enjoy Pre-Fup speeds for Free for July, August, September.is it for only BB249 plan?

@xstarm As for the 3months offer, i think they are doing this to refrain their customers from disabling their service and moving on to others such as airtel/jio, since both airtel and jio are offering much better service.

As on the topic, i don't know how but im getting 380-500+ KBps download speed past FUP while my router's Downstream Line Rate is 3999, should i not be getting less than 399 KBps download-speed? Im confused. Im on 699 combo pack.
can you please share the device info page & dsl settings page of your router coz mine downstram line rate is 4094 kbps (~4Mbps) but the max. speed i get is 3.4Mbps(~450KBps) and i should be gettings around 500kBps

@Abhi1895 you wont get more than 3.4-3.5 mbps in a 4 mbps line ! for true 4 mbps (actual 500 kB/s, you need a 6 mbps line).

treat me as a noob but please help me increase my internet speed i have BBG Combo UL 675 but i only get 2.5 mbps max down speed

This is true although i cannot confirm it, i rarely get speeds above 500 KBps, it isn't constant and varies from 370KBps and above.

Go to Advanced Setup-> DSL-> do not enable 'ADSL 2+' as modulation but enable all of the remaining modulations.
Go to Advanced Setup-> DSL-> enable 'G.Dmt' as modulation but don't enable all of the remaining modulations.
Do this one by one for the other modulations, mostly the ADSL2, ADSL2+, AnnexM, G.Dmt, and check out the difference between each of their down/up line rate, by looking at your bsnl broadband plan, enable the modulation which gives 'Current Rate' of downstream above 3900, refer this image, nonetheless you can simply enable all of the modulations if you want to.
Sometimes restarting the DSL might change the line rate, you can do this by going to the DSL settings tab, disable it and enable it back, or just unplug the DSL cable from your router and plug it back.

If 'SNR Margin' is lower than 10dB or 'Line Attenuation' higher than 45dB, your line quality is poor and may suffer from Internet dropping. In this case contact your ISP to check your line quality.
Range of Downstream SNR Margin:
10dB and below: Bad and difficult to get Synchronization
11dB-30dB: Normal
30dB and above: Outstanding

Range of Downstream Line Attenuation:
20dB and below: Outstanding
20dB-45dB: Normal
45dB and above: Poor and may suffer from Internet dropping

sir many time i lodged a complaint on 198 about my line but people in chandigarh exchange are lazy and idiots
one time they gave me excuse that it happens because of rain even asked me to use antivirus
they just make excuses and want us to be satisfied as internet is working

is this good?

@Pranshu Sharma
Yes thats much better than before, you can still continue to test it out if you want to, if not you can keep the current one, right now you'll get an speed of around 3.7-4.2 mbps download and 0.40-0.60 mbps upload which is exactly what you should be getting as per your BB plan. Although your downstream dB seems to be poor you may get internet dropouts, can you share us your net speed via speedtest?

this is what im getting now thanks bro

What u say should i lodge a compliant to get my snr margin and attenuation corrected ?

It is best to just observe it for now, if you get line drop out more often, than i suggest you to check on the following:
Use a filtered faceplate.
Faulty modem.
Temporary interference. (e.g. from Christmas lights or faulty electrical equipment)
Thunderstorms
Faulty broadband microfilter.
Faulty telephone wires.

There are some router's which provide controlled SNR Margin, you can search on google on how to change it or ask it here on this forum. If nothing works then its better to contact bsnl tech.

I checked out the fup bsnl page as well and its also saying that I will retain my pre fup speed once I exhaust my quota of 175 gb. I am getting speeds of around 3.3 Mbps even though I havent exhausted my quota .
