City: Navi MumbaiPackage: Quick Power 180 ( over a pppoe connection and not lan based ) Cost per Month: 3 month pack for 1900 bucks including taxPositive Points: Very low latency compared to other isp's . Very good speed when it works .Negative Points: Problem in last mile connectivity due to local persons managing wires, dumb customer care representatives .

City:Cochin
Package:256k UL Prepaid
Cost per month:According to months you recharge, see here
Positive Points:
It might be rare to hear positive from tata indicom bb customers.Fortunately,I'm one who get good services.I have tata bb for nearly two years (cant remember well)..
Good speed,Great pings,Local tata guys are very supportive..

Negative Points:
Surprise,surprise!
Nothing much except..
The main CC sucks!

General View:
Works for me! Rather well!
Wouldve liked faster plans a bit more cheaper, like 1M ultd..since all isp's in India sucks as far as faster ultd plans are concerned, not much of point to ask one isp to change the country themselves (as all of em are greedy).

Another thing for other fella tata customers and wannabe tata customers is that, make sure your local dslam has very good connectivity (like fiber and not T1/E1's ) otherwise you are very likely to get poor speeds, bad ping, packet loss etc.. as no of customers increase...

City: HYDERABADPackage:quick power 360Cost per Month:6months@3600...360 hrs of usagePositive Points: good bandwidth,value for u r bucks..Negative Points:nothing so far..gave the application on monday(12th NOv) and got the connection on 15th of NOV...and speeds r constant...5hrs usage @4gb d/l...

City: ChennaiPackage: Infinity 256Cost per Month: 1000+taxPositive Points: Great uptime and consistent download speed.Negative Points: Poor customer care support, it might take a while to fix any kind of problem and no toll free CC number.

City: New DelhiPackage: Infinity 1 MbpsCost per Month: Rs 4000 with taxes per monthPositive Points: It works at least 15 out of 30 days1. You get a proof for paying the bill whether you pay by cheque or cash2. If you know the engineer well it works 25 out of 30 daysNegative Points:1. Customer service treats you like a rag doll2. Tata does not respect its customers3. The expected time to fix any problem is 3 working days, Sunday is not a working day. your internet will definitely go down on a holiday 4. You have to pay to call them and pay to get a paper bill from them.5. When you call them with a technical issue they first try to sell other services and when you become angry they take in your complaint and ask you to mail next time. Often they would drop your call or even use abusive language.6. Most expensive among all the ISPsGeneral View: When I started with Tata Indicom a year ago at least the engineers were good and the connection seemed the best in all that was available. hence with trust I kept on upgrading though I was paying the highest price per kbps. Within a year their customer service has come to the point of using abusive language when I tell them I have not called to purchase anything from them. They ask me for personal information every time I call now which is almost twice a week. When refused they are extremely rude. Tata has also been increasing its response time for any technical problem and it now stands at 3 working days. I use the connection for my online business so anyone with any suggestions please help whose connection can I take ?

City : ChennaiPackage: 256 ULRs 1000 + taxes per monthPositive points(i)Download speeds are good (28 - 34 Kbps)(ii)Very rare downtimes(iii)Good costumer careNegativeI disconnect like ever minute and connect the next seond which is really irritating, The Crappy 4 months deposit which wont let you withdray ur connection i have to w8 for another 3 months before i can change to 2mb unlimited plan BSNL, prices are quite expensiveGeneral Views- It is overall good but u might get really sick of it after a few months as they will start treating u like dirt.Very Expensive but great speedsThats it ,

City: PunePackage: Quick Power 180Cost per Month: 3 month pack for Rs. 1920 (Including NU)Positive Points: Very good speed. Speeds are mostly consistent. Very less downtime. Problems resolved usually in 1-2 days.Negative Points: Customer care representatives may be a problem. But this happened to me only twice. Other time they were quiet helpful.

City: Coimbatore, Tamil NaduPackage: 256kbps 6-months unlimitedCost per Month: 1000 roughlyPositive Points: Connection downtime is very low. I've only had 2-3 disconnections in 3 months.Negative Points: A lot of bad things to say here. Out of 24 hours in a day, the connection is very slow for 18 hours. I'm supposed to get a download speed of 30 kb/sec , but I get 2-3 kb/sec . Ping times to local servers such as Yahoo! India reach 1250 ms (!!!). Browsing experience has been a total nightmare, I'm not getting what I paid for... even a 56K modem could go faster than the speeds I'm getting at the moment. General View: SAY NO TO TATA INDICOM or GO HANG YOURSELF UNTIL YOU SAY SO.

City: Cochin

Package: Quick Power 360; 9-9UL@Rs.99

Cost per Month: Rs.3641 for 6 months (including taxes)

Positive Points: Great connectivity and speed, Low latency, Very less downtime(just 1hour 10 minutes in 5 months)

Negative Points: Nothing till now!!

General View: TI connectivity is found to be varying from place to place. So any one user's experience cannot be taken as a benchmark!

@Tachyon 2-3kbps is too slow for a 256kbps UL connection. Did you talk to their service person?

City: Chennai - Arumbakkam Package: Unlimited 256 kbpsCost per Month: Rs 1000+taxesPositive Points: Stable; excellent field supportNegative Points: Price should be brought downGeneral View: Because of excellent field support, I am not going in for the cheaper BSNL Broadband connection where field support is not available.

@sandy84: Hey bro, how much ping do u get with ur connection ?@srk006: bro, ur plan has Rs99 for NL, I think it has changed to Rs299. :-(

@arnold991I am yet to renew my account, so no idea whether they'll charge 99 or 299! 🙁

Bro I have read somewhere that old customer won't be charged according to new plans. So no problem for you.

And if the rates are lowered than your current tariff then it will be effective for you also but no in the case of increase of tariff.

City: BombayPackage:Quickpower 180 with Night ULPositive points: decent plan by Indian standards, certainly a lot better than the crappy MTNL plans in BombayNegative Points: Very unreliable service with frequent down time, poor customer service Overall I wouldn't recommend TI and I have frequently thought of dropping them. If MTNL offered a decent unlimited plan I would probably have switched long ago.
