I am beta testing ProtonVPN for a few months now and it has worked extremely well for me. Right now I pay USD 5 for ProtonMail which comes included with ProtonVPN as free.

ProtonVPN

But the service goes paid from 20th. They would offer a free plan with basic features. And then there would be two paid plans.

Official pricing would be revealed on 20th. But their Twitter account seems to have already leaked it few days ago.

Looks like the plan I am on right now would cost USD 15 for ProtonVPN Plus from 20th. Though I would get a 20%+20% discount on yearly payment.

I am using NordVPN, Any idea why I would want to use protonVPN?

they have a good track record with their secure email service. so some people prefer their VPN service which is quite expensive at official pricing. i used it during beta and it worked well. switched back to pia when pricing was revealed.

Looks like the deal is still available. And extra discount with coupon: PROTONVPN10.

Testing new ways to keep you safe online - Future Releases

A small, random group of US-based Firefox users will be presented with an offer to purchase a monthly subscription to a VPN service that’s been vetted and approved by Mozilla. After signing up for a subscription (billed securely using payment services Stripe and Recurly) they will be able to download and install the VPN software. Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android are all supported. The VPN can be easily turned on or off as needed, and the subscription can be cancelled at any time.

ProtonVPN will be providing the service in this experiment. Mozilla will be the party collecting payment from Firefox users who decide to subscribe. The service will cost $10/month, which matches ProtonVPN’s regular monthly price for their “Plus” plan. A portion of these proceeds will be shared with ProtonVPN, to offset their costs in operating the service, and a portion will go to Mozilla. In this way, subscribers will be directly supporting Mozilla while benefiting from one of the very best VPN services on the market today.

need suggestion for VPN

proton is now offering a simple free vpn too (few countries, no p2p, speed medium)

their paid plans seems decent too almost on par with PIA if you are not buying 2-3 years subscription, and their Basic plan which do not include core is cheaper than PIA 1 year subscription.

my requirement is mainly privacy, no logs

@Sushubh

If you plan to pay monthly get Proton. Otherwise... PIA is what I personally like. SurfShark is also a solid option.
