Huawei HG630a unlocked firmware?

As we all know the firmware as shipped by airtel is custom which locked many settings specially the in-depth DSL Settings and Hard Enabling TR-069 which a lot of us consider as a security issue did anyone obtain the official unlocked / universal firmware? I tried searching everywhere, specially Huawei official websites. Seems like they even remove any reference to products that they deprecate and discontinue.

That seems to be the case unfortunately. I couldn't find a single third party firmware for this particular model.

@vegetoroxxx I tried that. The airtel locked firmware blocks any attempt to 'completely' replace itself with the universal firmware. I was talking about the Internal 'Universal' Firmware and not the one provided by airtel. As it stands, with the airtel firmware the router is locked with airtel only as the VDSL settings in the router UI is not accessible and TR-069 can't be turned off.

disconnect the dsl wire then try updating firmware.

does anyone has any update on any available custom firmware for this ?
or this router is so bad no one ever wants to look at this.

im not with airtel anymore, and wanted to use this as switch (and utilise the 1200/- airtel has took for this shit), but as this has a call-back to Airtel, don't want to use it with this firmware.
