Hi. Am looking for a router with built in networking monitoring to keep track of bandwidth usage.
I have a small office, some 6/7 people connect at least two devices each.

I know DD-WRT is an option, but it seems my D-Link DIR600M is not compatible. Would be best if I could buy a router with these monitoring features built in. I believe plenty of models are available abroad, but whats the option here? What do BroadBandForum members recommend?

a cheapo xiaomi router... the one on sale in india might be enough for this purpose.

Belkin or D-Link might have models with device specific bandwidth calculations but they are likely to cost a bit more. These stupid networking companies do not get it. Newer players are arriving in the market and taking their market share in both budget (Xiaomi) and Premium (Google) segment with better hardware and infinitely superior software experience.

I really recommend considering getting the cheapo Mi Router 3C if you have simple needs. I assume it should have this feature because it is using the same software like my pretty old Xiaomi model. If you want something better... Import a Xiaomi AC router from Gearbest. Should cost around Rs. 2200.

I think @Nishant bought the 3C model so he might be able to confirm if this feature exist in the router.

@dextermorgan bought the 3 model from Gearbest so he might be able to confirm if that model has this feature.

the network customisations and control over wifi in xiaomi routers is insane considering the price point.

you can do everything you ever wanted in a router - block devices, see how much speed theyre getting, QoS, firewall , remote toggles, guest networks, everything! all from app or through browser

mi routers doesn't support printers which is a bad thing and thats the reason I am not using MI Routers but rather than that.. its a awesome hardware than most others available

xiaomi has its own file system for pen drives connected to the router's usb port. the files are available through the mi app. this is how it is on my router with chinese firmware. not sure if the english firmware models have it set differently.

@dextermorgan how ? is there and printer software or something provided ? and you using MI Router 3 or 3C model ? and your HP printer is wifi enabled or just a printer with usb print only..bcoz mine is HP but usb only , no wifi feature and I havent seen any interface for usb printer to be wifi enabled in Mi Router 3
