Hello, I'm thinking about getting bsnl wired broadband. I know it's not that reliable but it's the only choice I have. My local ISP is crap and overpriced. I am a heavy user like I would use around 150 gigs per month. Now back to the broadband, which plan do you think would be the best for me? I'm talking about all India plans with a consistent speed of 400kBPS+.

what is your budget? i believe bsnl plans with 150GB data still cost a bit of money. also your region.

Around 2k. I don't mind if the speed goes down to 2mbps after 80 gigs or so. I'm from Odisha. I've checked the plans on BSNL website but it seems it hasn't been updated recently.

I have 845 plan and i download around 200 + gb with it.Mostly games and chinese dramas. Go for 1199 plan as it offers around 4mbps till 20 gb and thereafter 2mbps post fup. The total of your monthly pay maybe around 1299 rs including taxes if you dont make any calls or make few calls.

BSNL 1199 plan will be good for you, it gives 4 Mbps till 20 GB and 2 Mbps thereafter, however I have been consistently getting around 2.5 Mbps speed even after post FUP.

Also calls to landline and mobile across India is free (any network), Your monthly bill will be around Rs 1379 including taxes. I switched to this plan and have saved almost 500-700 rs a month as my parents use landline a lot for STD and Local calls. Only complaint is that its disconnects in between (not frequently) due to DNS not available error not sure if its a common issue but its connects back in a minute or two,
