i dont like it overall but it definitely is better looking than santro and getz too... and does not look bad with black bumpers.


no car looks bad with black bumpers in ads and magazines and pics like these...but in reality it's different altogether

Swift isnt selling much now.........so no point .But whatever market it has ,it's going to take some part of it definitely.

in June 2007 (when i bought my swift), the waiting was well over 2 months...don't know if they're getting short of it or just not producing it...

though what i was told is that the demand is too high and they're having difficulties fulfilling it...

i prefer japanese makes over korean 🙂

As far as Japanese versus Korean, I wud say

Akai/Aiwa-> Japanese-> Suzuki
Samsung/LG-> Korean-> Hyundai

Wonder why I didnt write Sony for Japanese , bcoz Honda/Toyota are the Sony. Suzuki is like Aiwa/Akai
And Hyundai is Samsung/LG.

So if u were to buy a TV wud u buy a Samsung or an Akai if both were at same price. Use common sense.

I am here for a visit in USA. I have seen a lot of Hyundai cars( which is the fastest growing brand in US in automobile sector). Although definitely not as many as Honda or Toyota or chevys but I am yet to see any Suzuki. Although I have seen a lot of ads of Suzuki on TV here.

So think and decide. Do not go by the korean vs Japanese. A top brand of Korean wud be much better than a low brand of Japanese

So dont be brainwahed by this Korean vs Japanese,. And yeah recently IBM was acquired by chinese Lenovo.
So this excuse is just to please urself only. Go 4 whichever u like.

i am pretty sure that if honda and toyota were in india since 1982-83.... they would have been in the same position suzuki is in india right now.suzuki might be a smaller player in japan. but they are bigger than honda and toyota in india.and btw. i would not buy Sony or a samsung or a LG or a aiwa or a akia. i had buy Philips. 🙂

Disagreed. There are very few cars that look good from all angles. The Honda City is one exception that comes to mind. But in the small car segment all cars look bad from at least one angle. The Estilo looks back when you look at it head-on. But from all other angles, I at least, think it looks quite decent. Especially with the nice alloys I have on it! :thumbsup:

Suzuki is a big player in India bcoz of Govt favours. There was no other player for over a decade. So it had monopoly.Suzuki is a big player only in India.......nowhere in world , not even in japan. I am not saying Suzuki is bad, but this japanese vs korean thing that people use to discredit Hyundai and credit Maruti is totally irrationalBut if u were to choose between Akai and Samsung only and both were at same price, which one would u choose.....remember u have to choose one🙂

i dont want to offend anyone but estilo is the gayest car in the indian market right now. they have a pink color. what am i to say more.i dont like samsung. akai always has great prices. so i had rather buy a ultra cheap akai compared to a somewhat more expensive samsung.but yeah practically thinking samsung is better than aiwa/akai. Sony is overpriced crap.

if i get a maruti and a hyundai at the same price. i would prefer maruti. if i get a LG/Samsung and a AKAI/AIWA at the same price. i would prefer LG/Samsung.i hope that made it clear?

yeah, But why do people buy a Korean TV but a Japanese Car if only the country of make mattered to them? the question is not to u(the mod) but to him who started the japanese vs korean debate!

I wont mind a chinese if product quality is good. Beleive me soon Chinese products will rule the world. A chinese car or a chinese TV. I purchased HP PC few months back and most of the components were made in China

almost everything inside and outside a pc IS made in china. some other parts in taiwan.i am sure little is left which is manufactured in europe or america.

Not the first time I've heard that, and probably not the last. The flaws I find in this statement are that:
a) What does it mean to say that a car is "gay"?
b) Just because one colour is 'fruity' doesn't mean that the car in ALL colours is "gay." And i agree that is an awful colour, and some people in Maruti should be fired and blacklisted from the industry for that decision - had they actually stuck with purple and not purple 'fusion' (i.e. pink) the car would have looked awesome. I have seen some middle-aged guys driving around in pink, and have chuckled to myself 😛


But if you saw this car, you wouldn't suddenly start calling Hummers "gay," would you?

I can understand not liking the look. But as I said it's about angles. Even the swift looks kickass from some angles (e.g. side) but from the back it looks really bad (as my friend called it the other day, "the car with a big ass").

Enzo looks photoshopped. as for the gay car. the point being i would hate to be seen within 5 meters of that car. i would not drive it. i would not sit on it.thankfully, everyone i know thinks the same. so i dont even know anyone who has that car.

not to appear very nitpicky but just to put it in a correct way - lenovo acquired 'IBM PC business unit' and still IBM has a certain amount of stake in it... acquiring IBM is impossible 😀

and I would choose Hyundai over maruti bcos maruti and tata service sucks. hyundai's service is beyond compare. service and reliability is also of much importance while purchasing a car not just cost alone. sadly not many people take this into consideration.
